Has this ever been tried before? Voting for a member of the year? I don't know how to set up a voting thing but it might be cool to choose someone on here who best embodies the aloha spirit (creates and sustains a welcoming environment, shows respect for other members regardless of their experience, attitudes, or views, makes positive contributions to the site (provides practical answers to posted questions, initiates threads that are of value to the surfing community), etc. Could be cool and maybe they could get a swellinfo tee... Or maybe it's just lame. Whaddaya think? Off the top of my head, I'd nominate guys like lbcrew, mitchell, zippy, zach, matt johnson, swellinfo himself, damook, etc.
I have not laughed as hard since Aug/Sept when I would read the Gruvi postings... therefore I vote Gruvi. I would second Leethestud

i was one of the most ruthless haters of gruvi during his infectious weeks. he ruined 90% of the threads. i was joking up there. we should do member of the month, just because there are so many members that contribute a lot over 12 months
