I like it. I a bit too much white space and the forecast search bar is not intuitive to find so maybe that can be highlighted. It would be nice to be able to save favorite locations at the user level so you top spots could be face up when you log in. I did like that location finding the closest spot though.
Pong. Saved my old monochrome monitor, sometimes play it on there for full effect. Just spent the past few minutes drawing myself a new BLUE avatar in Paint. Attempted to upload it while on the new website here and received the following message, as soon as I clicked:
Thanks for the feedback. Can you clarify what you mean by too much white space? Too much white space vertically in between the different sections? You can save your favorite locations. When you are on a forecast page, you just click on the star next to the forecast location name. Then the favorite locations show at the top favorite location menu. Is this not intuitive?
Said the same within my previous "feedback image" upload. Too much white, everywhere. Can you maybe switch the background skin to "BLUE", like water, being that this is a surf website? Or, at least provide users an option to choose the skin?
I mostly use SI for forecasts and the phorumme but rarely for the photos and videos. So my comments are based upon those areas. It appears that little if anything is different with the phorumme. I agree that the forecast has too much white space. It seems to be conveying basically the same information as before but taking up at least twice as much page space to do so. I don't like that the slider thingy in the "Surf Graph" never goes away. I do like that more than one swell is shown in the day by day forecast section. Where is the info in the "Report" tab of the forecast page derived from? I don't imagine you have people all over the place filing reports? Under the "Reports" tab of the forecast page there is a section to the right that says "Forecast". This is currently displaying slightly different info than when I click on the actual "Forecast" tab. This is for Ft Lauderdale, FL. These are my initial thoughts. So far I'm mixed. I'm not crazy aboot it but I could get used to it. I'll check it out some more later and see how/if my opinion changes. Thanks for asking the opinion of the actual users of this site.
Dear MR Swellinfo If you need more testers, I will give it a whirl... specially if it's a free app download instead of website I would say that the website is not iPhone friendly... mainly the size is meant for a computer monitor, so any improvement would be beneficial Your pal Mr Belmar
Meh, that leaves me out. You see, those that need a "smart phone" do so because, well, they are not smart. I don't need one. BBRRRPPPPPP!!!!!
Good Afternoon. If I tell you, then it might suddenly appear... I am willing to divulge that I can see an outline, where the advertisement is supposed to be located. I'm actually playing with all again right now.
