both good fins. I would say go with the ones that fit best.

I have been rocking techs for a long time, but I'm making the switch over to churchills because they fit a little better.

The techs are a little shorter, but wider, and I think they have a little more power. May be a little easier to DK with the tech's, since they are shorter.

The Churchills have always hurt my feet. Bad blisters and sores. I got Redleys a couple years ago and I love them. No blisters, good power, light weight and they float.

I've not had a pair that I like. Of course, the last time I had a pair was in the late 80's. :)

    Vipers

I've always worn Churchills, but they do blister your feet bad. My left one is broken right where the yellow meets the blue and I'm thinking about getting a pair of Vipers... anybody have any feedback on them??? I've also worn BZs but didn't like them too much.

I'm all about tech's..super light, good thrust and short. One downfall is that they DO NOT FLOAT! I've lost 2 pairs before i got teathers. Also pretty comfortable, don't have to worry about blisters so no need for fin socks.

Steelwave Vipers are a good deal man. I have a pair of V-5 models and they are also great fins. I'm all about drop knee now and I feel the techs do the job much better as far as the quick get up. But the Vipers are mad comfortable, soft on the inside with like a pad for the top of your foot so you dont have rubbing on your ankles.

Chris, I just got a pair of Kick's and they are pretty sweet. Super comfy foot pocket & you know how I like the Redley's.

Tech2's are the best fin IMO, super comfortable, good amount of thrust, and good for DK. If you can't afford them but still want comfort go with Unit X's

Too bad they do not float, that is a big drawback.

Yeah but how often do you fins come off and float back up? Every time mine have of came off it has been in the impact zone and even if they floated iv never gotten them back. I have lost about 3 fins 1 kcoast brand(float) 1 unitx(float) and 1 tech2, thats why I rock tethers 24/7 you don't have to worry about anything and you protect your investment.

if you go w/ vipers, buy them local and try them on first...they tend to be a narrow fit...i went to buy a pair and, for me...they were to tight.

Honestly? I have only lost one floating fin ever and it was on my friends foot and not mine. Even at SS I have had many come off and found them near the rocks. At Pea Island I lost 2 at once and found both down the beach. You never have that chance if they do not float.
