I dinged up my shoulder good last weekend, shouldn't have surfed three consecutive days I guess. I thought I would try surfing goofy foot tomorrow, if there is anything rideable. It doesn't seem to hurt popping up that way on the floor. Probably will feel weird, but. Have you switched your foot before? No big deal?

You might end up hurting yourself more Betty. I would lay off so you're not hurt when there are waves.
If you're not surfing, Can I borrow your board?

Chickie, I dig your forecasting. It has been flat here for about 6 weeks now...but prior to the 6 weeks of flatness we have had one of the best winters in recent years, way better then the central and northeast coast. And get the story right, I only know one person that likes children on this site....and your right sissurfdog is a cool guy.

OHHHH bruddah...trust me, I can handle anything the N.J. coast can throw at me...I just can't handle that friggin 40 deg. water...to old anymore. There's a place called pumphouse...look it up....hmmmm, would you really go. I got a great idea, lets head to Puerto Escondido and catch some real schitt....lol.

    Hey Betty,
Unless you are naturally one of those freaks that can set a rail right or left foot forward it is not easy to get the hang of. Something tells me you will crash a lot getting switchfoot wired but the kids skate & snowboard both ways no problem. I can't tell if my 12 yr. old is skating natural or goofy unless he tells me while he is riding. Seems a shoulder injury messes up your paddling and timing pretty good from my experience with separated shoulders (damn bikes). If it hurts don't do it. Let it heal. BTW, I watch the Void live surf report and have a friend w/ a shop at the Jax pier for reports and there is a fun looking knee high dribbler every stinking day down there this summer. So yeah, people are surfing the east coast and from the picts posted maybe having a blast....

I have surfed knee to waist high for about 6 days straight at different spots and yeah once at your one and only break Betty, I guess I fear it won't last and will be flat soon enough,. Hey Betty take the shredding Betties to more than one spot and maybe even a deeper spot so you don't hit the ground on your dismount. There is maybe 50 different spots between Ft. pizzy and Melbourne, sometimes the hunt for a new spot is the best experience. One last thing, maybe master one stance before you get any crazy ideas about switching.

I do it every session i surf betty. im a goofy but if its a good right ill either take off regular or switch to regular after the bottom turn. i dont surf nearly as well as i do goofy but its really cool to experience what you regulars footers do when you go right on your front side. its way different.

Oh yeah?? Well it has been concave here in NH--inverse swells, little depressions roll in and suck in swimmers to the bottom!! Unfortunately, they do not drown.....
