So came in to work this morning and the boss man told me we had 16 tixs to The Who in Raleigh tonight. 8 on the floor and 8 in the box suite. I was able to get rid of 8 of them to our clients and carriers. So at lunch he tells me and a couple other guys in the office to take the last 4 and have fun. We're gonna see if we can get up in the box for some free food and drink but want to sit on the floor for the vibe. Goin to The Who's 50th tour 2nite!!!
I saw The Who in 1982. General Admission, Rich Stadium Buffalo, NY. Have fun but I gotta be that guy... "I wished they had died before they got old!"
There you go. The Who is b!tchen though. Have a good time, RCarter. Stay away from the sticky-icky. You've worked so hard, don't throw it all a way. Don't get sodomized by the guitarist.
Depends and Metamucil are the two sponsors I think. Show starts at 4:15 for the early bird special. Stones are coming here later this summer but tixs are $400+ and sold out in like 3 min. These seats for tonight were $150 and are not even super great. Riley I will eb on my best behavior specialy since it's for work and clients will be there.
I'm not really a Who fan, but I'd jump all over the chance to see them. They are one of the most iconic rock bands in music history. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that? Fvck, I saw Nugent recently...and he's not even in the same league as The Who. And I had a fuggin' blast!!! (Open bar helped.) Wife wants to see Whitesnake (coming to a local casino). UGH. At least it's not Loverboy.
Awesome! There ain't no tellin how many brain cells I lost gettin baked to The Who in the 70s, watchin Townsend do them guitar windmills. We don't get fooled again... Pass the bong... Have FUN!!!
Saw them twice 1979 Who are You Tour. Great show - we had floor seats about 10 rows back. unbelievably loud. Saw them a couple years later - the band didn't seem very into it - lame show.
Good stuff man Seeing them on May something-th at Barclays. Definitely baking. Are you baking? Enjoy dude
Show was insane! Loud as all hell but Roger and Pete still throw down. Pete's brother does the rhythm guitar and the drummer is like Keith Moon reincarnated. Joan Jett was the opening act and I must say she can rock. No baking but I did have a few beers. Tough coming in to work this mornign for sure and when I got in the car the radio was way louder than normal mornings. Guess I was deafer than I thought after the show.
I'll go see almost any rock band live and generally enjoy it. I don't know why but chicks dig that hair metal stuff.
Very Cool! I saw them about 10 years ago at MSG, with Robert Plant. Can't believe they are still playing. Bucket List band to see along with the Stones!
I'd rather see Loverboy than Whitesnake. Who was that Irish guy who was one of their guitarist after he left Dio? Vivian something. Yeah, he was pretty good ax slinger, but Whitesnake sucks and annoys me.
