Id face a shark over a croc any day of the week. Sharks have no interest in eating you, 99% of attacks are incidental... CROCS on the other hand have EVERY interest in eating you. They will death role you till you drown, then stuff you under a log and wait for you to tenderize for a couple of days... nasty hunters...

damn, that dude is fvcked up. With that much twisting damage, his knee is probably internally shredded, too...wonder if he'll ever surf again.

I just came back a few days ago and the crocs are way up the river with a few exceptions and I dp every day I was there in front of the Diria hotel , thereis a big rock formation that was awesome.

I paddled ? walked across rivermouth 3 times to take the nice offerings on the other side and only saw 1 croc.
I was the only one in the water 5 days in a row pre dawn and loved every minute of it. I did get bit by some small fish on my big toe but it didn't make the news.

you were dp in front of the Diria? that's a bit different than dp at the river mouth. The locals say to be careful at high tide, especially in the rainy season as they(crocs) can get pushed down from the estuary a bit more with the increased water flow. I've been there 5 times this year, paddled across the river mouth probably 30-40 times and never saw a croc once.

Articles are stating there have been 5 croc attacks on humans by crocs at the Tamarindo river mouth in the last 12 months. That exceeds anything sharks have done at any location in any 12 month period. The CR government tourist agency, articles continue, have been trying to suppress that news.
Money talks, bull**** walks (that is, of course, if it hasn't lost a leg to a croc....).
