sounds like you need to tell your old lady whats up. telling you how to spend your money? keep the pimp hand strong playa.
im a tattoo guy so I say tattoo.if the artist couldn't do what u drew up then u definity wouldn't want him to work on u,go to another tat shop.my thing with tattoos is u have to have something creative and original, like something u drew up.going to a tat shop and looking through their posters and saying I want this one is the dumbest thing u can do lol.nothings worse than seeing somebody wth the exact same tatt as u.for instance, the grim reaper tat,i have 3 friends, all from different backrounds, different age and they all have the exact same grim reaper tat.and tribal tattoos are gay, dont get those.i have a sick tat I want to get done when I get the dough, because I need a real artist to do this and its gonna cost atleast a grand.most of my tats are from friends that do tats, but they aren't quite there yet with their skills
Okay. Had a baby sitter last night. Went out for a sick Italian dinner and WAY too many drinks. But by the end of the night, I had somehow worked the fact that I am going to buy the long board today and I received full support. Was supposed to go by sunnydaze this morning and check it out/buy it at 8:00am. Thank god the dude texted me saying he won't be in his shop until noon. So, if all goes well, I will hopefully be posting a picture on here of a longboard in the back of my truck around lunch time. I think I am still drunk though. not sure.
Why don't you take some pressure off of the wife's shoulders by spending it on a high class escort? Edit:Medium class?
Spend $50 on a mask and snorkle and learn to freedive. That will give you something to do when its flat and increase your abilities in the water. Another $20 or so for cheap fins. If you feel you have to get ink, offer the methed out tattoo guy$50 to tattoo a skim board on your shoulder. That should be easy. Take $50 and take your wife to dinner. Save the last $150 for a used board. Or skip the tattoo and dinner, and you have $250 for a board.
Ya i say tattoo. You wont find a decent lb for 300. And a skimboard is just silly. You arent almost breaking your ankle because of the quality of skim. You are almost breaking your ankle because you are a grown a$$ man trying to skimboard. Just my opinion.
Well, I went down to the shop at lunch with cash in hand. He threw a curve ball at me though when I got there. The LB that he quoted me for $350.00 was actually $400.00. I only had $360 in cash. Board was in almost perfect condition. No noticeable dings or anything. Thurster setup. Had fins on it too.... So, the plan is to go by tomorrow and get it... But here is the curve ball. When I walk into the shaping bay, he shows me another board first. Its a brand new, never ridden 9'4 with BEAUTIFUL art on it... He tells me that it was a "botched" blank basically. He held it up and showed me that the angle is slightly different on the left side from stringer to rail, and I mean, you almost can't see it even when he is pointing it out.... He just said that its easily a $1000.00 board and he said I could have it for $500.00. So, the prospect of a Brand New LB, beautifully crafted definitely got the wheels turning. But I am already $100 over budget and going another $200 may not be the call.... Anyway, I told him to hold the used LB for me and I will grab it tomorrow.... But man, that brand spanking new one was SICK looking. He assured me that no one, not even Joel Tudor would be able to feel any of the imperfection while surfing it.
zach tomorrow the quote for 400 will be up to 450 so bring that much. He saw the Spicoli stoke in your eyes and is preying on it. Play hardball with him bruh. Walk in there saying "ehhh...I'm not so stoked on that LB after mulling it over. You'd've had me on it yesterday. I think I'll just pick me up a leash today." All of a sudden...it's for 300. Boom.
Zach, I love most of your posts. Did not read this whole thread just the first post/pageish.......verdict since first glance is that I do not care. Have fun.
When I get any kind of "extra" money, whether it's in the form of a bonus, gift, or tax refund, something (usually cars or major appliance) invariably breaks down. Vet and family dental/orthodontist bills too. Rarely do I get to spend it on myself. Was thinking about taking up bass guitar, but that will have to wait.
