Both conditions require expensive medication and follow up visits. The combination left me paying $850/month for basic coverage. I'm a hospital administrator, so I know what I'm doing and I have good insurance but my cobra would have been well over $1000 for me alone.

I worked for a pharma for 35 years--I paid ZERO for drugs, and 80/20 insurance which cost me less that $500 for MY WHOLE FAMILY. That with a $500 deductible for the family.
