In the 30 + years of surfing I have only had 3. Linden, (my all time favorite) back in the late 80's, a vernor about 4 years ago and just recently, a fishcuit (grovler board). All magic boards I surf until they disinigrate...tho the vernor, kept downsizing because I kept losing weight, tho same model. I buy a lot of boards...in fact way too many but I may have found magic number 4. First sesh, I Took it out in knee to thigh high crap. Normally I would never take a new board out in crap but just can't let it sit there. I swear this board was amazing but only got a few waves that were even rideable...not sure what it is but if it performed in small wind blown crap, would think it would do as well in the good stuff...soon find out. Great feeling getting out of the water...haven't felt like this since the linden...linden always gave me goose bumps when I took it out. This board is suppose to be for small to medium waves tho the way it is shaped, I would think it would handle slightly overhead...does have a wide tail block which may keep it from the bigger stuff. Seems similar to the CI #4, never ridden it and a Lost V3, had the V3. V3 was good but not real magic for me. This board differs from my my normal boards...much more tapered rail then I am use to...and more tail kick then I like. When I first saw this, I was thinking no way...ain't gonna work! The volume doesn't seem right either...says around 32, which is close to my normal volume, normal is 31 for me, but it certainly feels way less...tapered rails, 5'10" x 19 1/2 x 2 1/2. I had a v 3 that I think was 5'10" x 20" x 2 1/2...32 liters. Wider, much fuller rails and more thickness that carried over to the front and back...and I think the v 3 had a wider nose, tho the tail may be slightly narrower. I did buy this on a whim and online...so I know it's a "no no" not feeling her up first but I just couldn't refuse. Glad I did it...just need a little better wave to see if I get super stoked.
