what is that blob forming in the middle of the atlantic? kinda spiraling, approaching from the northeast, getting huge.. looks like it will provide swell for the whole east coast for the week. is this a classic nor'easter or just some big low? looks promising..
its a low pressure system coming down from nova scotia/ arctic and its gonna spin perfect for us pretty much from wednesday to saturday there will be decent surf. My last day of classes is tomorrow so im about to surf myself silly this whole week haha. get stoked!
yeah looks tasty. offshores might not be perfect but plenty of swell. i've only been surfing up here a couple years now but don't recall a storm like this. hope it's a sign of a strong summer
Does it seem like there will be a lot of VAS conditions? Or is the swell not large enough and the wind not strong enough? As a side note...I've travelled to Seattle a few times in the last couple years for work, and I always check the forecasts thinking it would be fun to make a day trip to surf. Every time I've checked, the forecast is big and red. Just reminded me of that cause the mid-atlantic forecasts look similar this week, although quite smaller.
we'll have to keep an eye on how the low develops over the next day or so. These type of offshore systems are common around this time of year.
Doesn't look like anything to get excited over, but it sure is messing up my fishing plans out in the ocean!
Fun surf in OCMD today, just got out of the water. Hope it builds a bit more for tomorrow... and the rest of the week
im hoping for some waves, i just feel that there could get to choppy. I know the winds will stay low and to the east. I hoping for some solid waves. today was fun.
