The Beater for Catch Surf

    Does any one know any thing about this board? i want it for summer but i want to know if its a good board and not by judging how a pro surfs it (kelly slater surfed a door)

    lemme help you out bro.are you new to surfing? that is a "kooks" or sponge board. try to get an epoxy if you are new. i would say fiberglass but they ding way toooo easily

    I do agree that it seems like stupid concept. These types of board were originally designed as blackball beater boards to get around length requirements in CA so you could surf all day. In most places we surf you still couldn't take that out at a non-surf beach in the summer so why waste your money?

    As far as riding shorepound? Why? Just find a spot that isn't breaking right on the sand and and ride a standard board.
