Most hookers in France are Albanian, or from some other East European country.
In fact, last year, the few remaining French hookers were complaining that they were being undercut in prices by the East European hookers.

i think they had some demo boards available for people who are nearby to test out to see how they rode, @ mr Belmar i would call and see if you can borrow one for a little while, im not the greatest surfer but i think they ride basically same as a normal board. be interesting to see what some of you more skillful guys think of it

I only rode one once and was amazed at how normal it felt. Didn't expect that. Theres a dude who works at that shop who is a pretty good surfer. Not exactly semi pro brett barley status or anything, but still rips damn hard. I seen him getting barreled and pulling off big hacks on one like it was his standard SB.

I'll reiterate... Not saying everyone needs one. But to everyone shooting it down your dead wrong. Mr. Belmar mentioned it probably feeling like a surf tech and not working great. And i get it, i thought the same. But i too was dead wrong. Mike Becker is a really smart guy and an excellent shaper. I won't get a board from anyone but him now. He isn't that type of guy who half asses things. He put the thought and field testing into this.

The shop name is nature shapes. I don't do Instagram but i Google "nature shapes instagram" every now and then to check out what the shops been producing. Check them out and see for yourself

Sick idea for sure. I’d love a good “travel board”. Might try making one myself... see how it works out or if it works out

If I were younger, I would buy one to travel with, the shortboard version.
But, I only have 2 more surfing trips in me at best. I will either take my own, or rent.....mo' easier....
I actually did NOT want to take anymore trips to surf, but last Decembers trip to PR got cancelled (Maria ), so that is now rescheduled, and then one more to coastal France. Bordeaux area. After that..no more... all done!!
    Thanks for posting.

I remember the Pope bisects were top of the so called line ,friend got one to go to costa rica , it never made it to his hotel,i guess it was a lot easier to steal in the nice case than a regular surfboard

    Im right there with you...

I just want to clarify what I meant with the surftechs... I was actually using that to support the idea of this board, I wasn't saying that surftechs are bad and don't surf well. They just surf differently, as I would expect any board that is not a basic foam/stringer/fiberglass board. I actually owned a couple of surftechs throughout the years and one in particular was my go to board for a while! Actually if I had to have a one board quiver, that board could fit the match... which, in my option is a good type of board to travel with (a one board quiver type of board) cause you never know what the waves are gonna be like- could be 10ft... could be 2ft...

Anyways- I like the idea, and if I still traveled as much as I used to- I would buy one without hesitation, specially after hearing that some others have ridden them and liked them. ACTUALLY I think there is a guy that surfs Avon that rides for them... I saw a instagram video on their website of a guy putting one together to surf- and it was obvious from the backround that he was in Avon...

just to add- i guess some other guys felt differently- but I didn't feel like this was just some dude making a gimmicky sales pitch...

I think if your really interested in surfing and the equipment we ride that you would be excited to hear about different things shapers are doing (that are not obviously kooky). I would be more interested in reading more about that on this forum then some of the other non-surf related junk ppl talk about... for instance- i went to a surf shop to check some boards this weekend and was amazed at the amount of shapes coming out with different types of stringer (for added flex/less weight and what not) and also many many shapers back to experimenting with channels- which really excites me, i have always been a proponent of channels, specially the byrne style 6-channel...

    anyways- im done now...

looking at their website is says that the boards are "The Carbon Compact is hand shaped out of recycled Marko Foam". I know what Marko foam is (its a popular brand of EPS blanks - ive shaped many...its good foam), but what is "recycled" Marko foam??!!

I think that's the marko blanks with the fancy green arrow-going-around-the-triangle recycling logos on it.

This place could really use a Shaper's Forum, that would be really cool.

But I could understand why our past history would deter guys from contributing lol.

Seriously tho, I know this site has guys that are talented and I'd be interested in interacting with those people.

A shapers forum on bisects, that would attract Roy he could come up with a dragon board that folds in half
