I paraphrase, "the fact that jellyfish have survived 650 million years without brains gives hope to many of you."

    Morgellons disease--hahahahha!!

Yes, if by fake you mean not a real physical illness. It is a psychosomatic disorder, which makes it real enough to the people suffering from it. In Joni Mitchell's case, she has been battling mental illness for years. She also has been a habitual cigarette smoker for years, which doesn't really assist with physical well being. I really feel for people who suffer from mental illness, and while all research points to Morgellons being a disease of the mind, I don't think sufferers should just be turned away by doctors.

    Drugs > mind > body

Translation: prolonged recreational / narcotic / synthetic drugs wreak havoc on the mind, the mind wreaks havoc on the body, the body & mind post nutty Morgellons wak-a-doodle stuff on the InterWeb

Of course, if it's real to the 'afflicted' then that's all that matters, right kidz? Just don't ask anyone outside the circus that is playing in 'the afflicted's' mind to actually provide treatment, other than a strait jacket.

BTW, someone posted regarding female school teachers & female nurses having Morgellons. In fact, the rate of prescription drug use by employment category is sky high with exactly those two groups of women.

We're in an age of loony tunes! You can get a pill for that!

Damn, it took awhile for me to find my tinfoil hat but here goes a few thoughts.

I was seriously ill 20 years ago and 1/2 the docs thought it was all in my head. Turns out it was cancer. Docs make an educated guess with the info they have and most don't waste their time if they can't put it in a familiar box. Just sayin' medicine is a practice.

    you're born you start dying.

craziest peeps I've ever known have never done recreational drugs. Now I have known some f-uppedjunkies too.

If you don't drink that's okay but it's condescending when you ask someone to go have a beer with you and state that you however don't drink. That just makes you sound like a Prick.

Rubbing chemicals on your body or ingesting them is risky but hey sometimes you gotta roll the dice. Proceed with caution or just say F*ck it.

oh' I forgot.75% of middle aged women (and I'm being kind) are on drugs and are batsh*t crazy. Most could just smoke a fatty and be better off.

Medicine is a practice, but we are getting better at it every day. I would give Morgellons sufferers the benefit of the doubt and say 25% of them likely have underlying real medical issues. However, these issues aren't from bugs or fibers under their skin. I also don't think it is a coincidence that many people who believe their Morgellons is a real physical illness, also believe in things like chemtrails and reptilian overlords.

Dude I was lucky! It took almost 3 years to diagnose my cancer and MUSC had successfully treated treated it before. Certainly not knocking the medical profession just pointing out there is always something new out there and you are in charge of your on health.
Man I hope I live to see the reptilian overlords! lol

You are lucky to have MUSC. Imagine how bad it would have been if you were in the middle of no where with limited medical options.

it seems like the morgellons issue has medical opinions that go both ways, some docs write it off as delusional symptoms while some others in the medical community have said that something is actually going on but its all wrapped into fringe groups that don't help the case for reality. I think something is going on with people, I actually believe that people are experiencing these physical symptoms.

A persons testimony is too valuable to just write off, to assume its all loony bin BS is just nonsense. Besides threes been a good look into the Fibers and Specs that come from peoples bodies and its been determined that the objects are a true mystery.

I understand that the internet has helped spawn this insane seeming community of sufferers who self diagnose. But after all if u have morgellons all u can do is self diagnose and then be told by doctors that you have a mental illness. It just seems all too strange and unusual. The people on the internet seem so obsessed with documenting their alien infliction, I have a hard time accepting the fact that over 14,000 people are all insane with the same mental idea that multi colored fibers and faceted mineral specs come from their bodies, along with the crawling sensations.. Plus hasn't there been a study that found a agobacterium in the bodies of these people.

Morgellons is real and some sort of fu cked up sh it is going on. Someone call agent MULDER !!! the truth is out there. (not trying to sound like a conspiracy wacko) but question everything is what i do. I certainly would not suggest the government is incapable of making a coverup. Government cover ups seem to make allot of sense. wacky alien conspiracies have gone very deep in the last decade. TV shows and the internet perpetuate allot of this stuff and many credible seeming people have made some pretty bold statements regarding alien disclosure and medical conspiracy claims.

Dude, there are no reputable doctors considering Morgellons anything more than a mental illness. If you don't think 14k people could have psychosomatic illnesses, then I would say you live a sheltered life. The **** people are pulling out of their skin always tests as normal tissue or contaminants (probably because the people have no business cutting into their own bodies). Morgellons couldn't be a government coverup, since most doctors have no affiliation with the government. You are talking crazy man. Mental illness can cause every symptom that Morgellons sufferers claim to have. I have met some of these poor souls through Facebook. One dude was telling me about cutting chunks out of his face when he felt a lump or hard tissue. He actually was diagnosed with some skin cancer years ago, but he rather blame morgellons and cut his own flesh. That is far from sanity.
