Jenks - while not really monmouth county, its just over the bridge. located in point pleasant, it's the first beach next to the manasquan inlet. This place is super easy to get to a has TONS of parking. literally, there's a huge lot right there. gets good on all swell directions and actually works best with combo swells. (wedge city!)

Manasquan Inlet - Last beach in monmouth county and the only point break besides sandy hook. gets really good on south swells and has turned into herself of 20 years ago latley with the beach replenishment. good amount of parking too.

Sea Girt - handful of spots that could work on the right swell but mostly, just skip it.

Spring Lake - SL has one of the longer stretches of beach in moco and has a few good spots. The big pipe is between SL and sea girt. Theres a great parking lot at the end of ocean ave in SL. park there walk down and you'll see it on your left. lots of kids think this place is sick. further down you go there's E&S (the huge senior place on ocean ave) that gets pretty good. Washington Ave is where all the old dudes on logs go to relieve the summer of 62' and north end pavilion can get good too.

Belmar - you dudes already know the deal

Avon - L JETTTTTY - seriously if its a south swell and you're not at the L Jetty something is wrong with you. tons of parking on the street and a pretty easy paddle too!

Bradley Beach - 1st-5th has its moments but it's the beach right after that where you can find a few good sandbars.

OG - pier is dead. there's still a sand bar or two around but this place is for the birds

Asbury Park - handful of sand bars that'll break when it's firing but overall it's pretty mushy and gutless

Loch Arbor - for some reason a crew of old dudes think this place is the east coast malibu, it's not but you should totally go check it out the next time there are waves. TONS of parking.

Deal - Phillips ave, Rosevelt Ave, and whitehall ave all have there moments. long jettys catch angled swell and can occasionally throw you some longer waves

West End, Long Branch - you know the spot, where the mister softee and windmill is. yea dudes right there!! it gets sick at the pit. there is a ton of parking around there too.

Monmouth Beach - Cottage Rd ya'll! drive up ocean ave, pass the beach club on the right and boom cottage ave! this is the spot all the \"super cool dude bodyboard bros\" love to ride when it's big. not much in the way of parking so get there early and let the other dudes figure it out.

Sandy Hook - THE COVE! when you have a good south swell there is no where else you want to go. place peels for days and is just what the dr ordered for regular footers everywhere.

Monmouth County should print this informative cheat sheet and hand this out to everyone that purchases a beach badge this summer....great work! Can you make up one for Ocean Co?

I don't venture south of point very often for fear of the bricktucky super aids or the piney plague but maybe someone else from down that way could provide info.

well my guess is your from ocean grove, since u blew up every other spot and made og sound weak.well og is just as good as long branch, the cove, deal, the inlet, dont let this guy fool you.since when is manasquan a point break?

and sandy hook pointbreak, thats just a myth.waves do not peel for miles,or even yards at that.its super crowded, lots of kooks who are looking for tips from other kooks.sandy hook is a big place, and i know the only good spot there, and its not the 3rd parking lot!!

well i do not approve of your post, but theres thousands of other sites that outline exactly what u just did.as far as posting street names, thats not cool.nothings secret on the eastcoast, unless its a 2 mile walk around the cliffs at montauk,u can basically find any spot by walking around.monmouth county is not the north shore.u list spots like monmouth b,long branch, like its off the wall, sunset beach, pipeline.sometimes theres a sandbar at these few spots, most of the time its not.and i dont know if ur familiar with recent beach replinishment but everywhere from sea bright to the beginning of long branch has been replinished and theres not a wave for miles.if ur into charging closeout thick shorebreak, yea monmouth is the place.

next can u please do a spot check list for ocean county.i already know every spot in monmouth, and they all suck.jenks sucks too by the way.atleast ocean hasnt been replinished yet and theres still a few outside sandbars lurking around.and i can tell u str8 up,there is no parking from sea bright to elberon, unless u want to park infront of a million dollar house next to a "no parking at any time" with local cops that have nothing better to do than ticket and tow a bunch of out-of-towners.

nah OG has just been pretty much dead since Sandra destroyed the peir. there is maybe a sandbar or two there. Main ave and pitman ave have been ok.

The inlet jetty at Manasquan is about as close to a point break that you will find in moco. on a proper south swell it will line up from the top of the jacks alll the way to dead man's on the inside. it's by far the longest wave down this way.

similiarly the cove up in Sandy Hook (it's one of the first beaches when you get in the park, you can't miss it) can handle really long waves on the proper south swells.

IMO it's easier to get a wave at sandy hook then the inlet but each place serves up world class rights on the proper swell.

i'm really not familiar with Ocean County breaks so i can't really speak to all the best places. maybe someone else can do that.

Jenks is actually amazing. you're aware they've held international contests there so i would call it a "world class" wave when it's on.

There is plenty of parking from elberon all the way to sea bright man! it's all residential though but in my 30+ years of surfing around those areas i've never received a ticket. don't try and spook people man the ocean is for everyone! even you're quasi secret spots.

a list of spots from elberon to sea bright with parking:

    Garfield Rd - Elberon
    Ocean Crt - Elberon
    Elberon Sq - Elberon

PULLMAN AVE - Elberon - dudes this spot FIRES! it's impossible to sea from ocean ave too so a lot of people just drive by it. check it out

Plaza Crt - Elberon is pretty good too

parking in long branch is hit or miss. for instance at the pit, which is basically West End (right by the frozen ygourt place and the windmill) they have a parking lot with access but there is a bunch more parking just west of ocean ave. most of long branch is the same way.

North Bath Ave. has it's moments.

Pier Village can be a pain in the ass in the summer with a ton of people but there's some good surf out front and ample parking on off peak hours/seasons.

In terms of monmouth beach, once you get pass the Getty station on ocean ave there is a really nice set up right past vista crt. when you're up there park near/around cottage. check out the picture below, that jetty is perfect!

This spot is also know as The Crooked Cock Jetty. No not really, but it should.

This thread keeps getting better and better...what other spot can Longboarder blow up?
