Yall ever had one? I get nostalgic everytime I smell one cooking Ingredients: two Slices of bologna. three slices of the whitest bread you can get. American cheese food product. Preparation: open package of bologna. get your skillet realllllll hot. pull the entire stack of bologna out of the package. shake it back and forth for a moment. return bologna back to package. remove two slices and place in skillet. use your spatula to cut two slits making a + in the middle of each slice. now cut four more slits on the North South East and West sides of each slice. wait. toast your buns. now flip it. wait. make sure your bologna reaches at least 375* for safetys sake. now cover it with your cheese stuff. now place one slice of your cooked bologna on a piece of bread. now place one slice of your bread on your cooked bologna. now place another slice of your cooked bologna on that piece of bread in the previous step. now place your third slice of bread on the piece of bologna in the previous step. Enjoy.
Wow, TLT, this is a sandwich that I enjoyed throughout my youth. Kind of like an Italian hot dog...we did it a little different, a little simpler perhaps, but the gestalt of the thing itself remains the same. Godspeed
HA HA HA, that is great! I do not eat bologna, but as a kid, I was fed these sandwiches. As it was cooking it would form into a cup/bowl form. I don't remember if there was cheese involved, probably was. On a different note, I did just make a cheesecake!
You have to put a cut in the bologna, from center point to the edge. This eliminates the bowling. Luv me some fried bologna. Poor man's pork roll.
Bologna Blossom. Worst public school lunch eva Bologna bowl (made from the cheapest available for human consumption) place mashed potatoes in Bologna bowl (from powder/concentrate) Real Cheese product on top (not actual cheese) Luke warm at best
TLT my italian hotdog reference was just how I conceptualize the Fried bologna...only difference is I put it on italian bread w mustard, no cheese.
