    Haha this reminds me of a job I had! It was actually a 2nd job I had in the 20s (plus my full time job). I worked part time with a pool company- maintenance on pools. It was a great job, my friend owned the company- paramount pools. I used to service pools in Deal, NJ right on the beach front, on the bluff overlooking the surf... some good times- watching the waves.... although at the time in my life, I wasn't really missing it- I either surfed before of after or inbetween- the job gave an opportunity to scope out a few spots... there where a few times tho that I would rather be surfing lol good memories

    Same here, I did pool plumbing for a spell. I can remember some days when I was working at the beach digging ditches to lay pipe and it would be Santa Ana conditions and just firing, I would be so pissed. I hated working.

    A few years later I started doing roving maintenance and renovations for the local property management companies. It became much easier to sneak away and surf. Did that for quite awhile.

    And, I had a beeper lol
