"That brings the schools of fish, and the schools of fish bring the sharks: whites, makos, tigers, bulls, sand tigers, dogfish and the occasional blue."

I liked this comment. If it's anything the bait brings dogfish, threshers, makos, blue's and the occasional white or tiger.

I like the title of this thread: THE Ocean County Shark. As if this was the only one (it probably is)

Indeed. I thought the same when I read that. The swim fin looked a bit jagged for a shark bite too.
I surfed that exact location 3 times in the past 10 days actually, and it seemed mellow. I think a few blue fish could do that to a swim fin in a split second and some big ones were reported early in the week a little further north.

Funniest thing I read in a long time:

“For now, we have to trust in our love of the ocean to solve this,” he added. “We must find a solution to live together with the sharks.”

Yes, hold the sharks' side fin and sing kumbaya with them...they'll understand.....

saw a shark wednesday mid afternoon while surfing solo. steady onshore breeze. saw it once for a second 100 ft away. saw it a second time much closer heading my direction cruising w fin up. needless to say i paddled in as quick and discreet as i could. can anyone id the shark? brownish, murky colored fin. had a bit of a spine with it. in comparison to the fin, i'd say the shark was atleast 4 ft maybe up to 6ft...

Does anyone know the kid associated with the story? I have a feeling this is the work of the tool bags of nubtv and the other south jersey loser dudes.

lots and lots of sharks on the outer banks lately. Been surfing there for a decade and never seen this much activity. Don't know what's going on...

It's pretty well documented actually. There is a lack of food in open waters. The fisheries are in bad shape due to over fishing. Sharks are increasingly coming closer to shore to find food, and unfortunately sometimes find us.

A friend of mine, when I lived in Florida, had his foot inside a bodyboarding fin and it was bit by a shark and wounded pretty bad.

Let's be honest here the East coast is becoming shark infested. This means we should take down swellinfo.com for the entire eastern seaboard since hopefully it'll prevent further shark attacks. A few words of advice to all: stay out of the water and give your surf equipment to me.

we should all message the kid on facebook and ask why he is a lying liar.

    https://www.facebook.com/bianca.is.***

replace the stars with the letters f a then g. clearly the kid is mature beyond his years here.

Sounds like another sparky who's bored & scamming the equally bored media efftards. It's the famous double-negative: can't prove it, so print it as fact 'cause it must be right until....you prove it wrong, which you can't do....so it must be true! This is the way all the loons work it, like archie and his contrails & wayne and his mystical miracle spirits, for example.

It's where the entire 'news' biz is headed. Lame as he!! .
