This Stanek clip is a good find. Hav'nt seen it in a while. its cool because these are all my home breaks. I seem to see him in the water more and more these days at the more standout spots. He is always absolutely ripping, and seems to be a pretty nice dude. Just don't be in his way or take a wave from him or you might be the but of some non confrontational jokes or remarks. Been there, but whatever. He really is fun to watch, but will put your surfing into perspective.
Death to winter filmed and edited by a couple of the guys here in Rhode Island
Some nice LB'ing in there, cool vid. Here's a little chuckle to get us through the flatness. Dated, but funny if you haven't seen it.
Sandy's Summer Sesh With the man himself. Fun video, fun looking waves, I found the whole Cheers song thing kinda funny...
Domke Vid Surprised this hasn't popped up here over the weekend...in case you have yet to see it.
There was a whole thread about this last week on the 6th. Crazy sh**. I assume this is the swell that hit the wedge the following day in my other post.
Correct. There was a link on that original page that didn't work. Was waiting to see it for sure. Thanks. Looks like both clips were the same wave though, right?
Seldom, rather than me scouring the net for it, I figured you may already know. Have you seen a video/photo of what people would call "The biggest wave ever ridden on a bodyboard?" I have seen some pretty insane slab footage around the world, but this day in age, what do people in the community consider the biggest wave ever ridden? I would be curious to see it and how it played out for said surfer.
I'll do some digging and see what comes up...I know Mike Stewart's ridden sizable Jaws, on paddle size days obviously...and same with the slabs, but let me poke around and see if there's a consensus.
Alright, I stand corrected, it was a tow in but here's the aforementioned ride at Jaws... And as far as slabs, I guess it could happen at any one on any given day, but something about this pic stands out imo...
For the video, wow. He made it out... Insane... For the pic. I want to see what happens next. Fu**ing nuts.
Dude thought the exact same thing...hadn't seen that Jaws footage in a while, was quite surprised with the clean exit. And yeah, not so sure the outcome was the same when that slab detonated.
eric geiselman in costa rica looks like puerto viejo and cocles to me
Some guys d*cking around in big surf, sans-boards. Careful if you're at work, first 20 seconds of sound are abrasive.
