Nice, I still have this CD laying around here somewhere...
Haven't heard this band in years. My friend really liked them, I saw them in the late 90's/early 00's a few times. They're from Florida, if I recall correctly. I'd bet they've broken up by now. Who could forget that Triple A logo? Haha.
Yeah dude, I still have this CD, got it when it first came out and I wore it out for about a year or two. They became one of my favorite bands for a while. Not sure if they are around anymore or not, not really part of that scene anymore. Kinda miss going to a different show every week...
F'ing love this CD / Band. Seen them a couple times live, and they rocked both times. From start finish:
Ahh this thread is bring back some memories. Not as much as I wish i knew. I grew up a Blink 182 fan before the TRL days, so Cheshire Cat, Buddha, & Dude Ranch - then that band faded out for me - prob that new drummer's fault - Travis sumtin. Fav band of all time is Nirvana, but no really punk rock so i digress. i think two i should mention after hearing great ones like NOFX, Pennywise & Goldfinger, are Unwritten Law & Fenix TX. wish i still had all those cds to rehas some of those days. unfortunately - i guess per Cpt Ron- i also got in the "techno" phase at the same time and still enjoy that music to this day. Never heard that "techno" sht in a surf video tho
One of the most brutal and crazy pits I've ever been in was when this song came on. The whole place went nuts and was one giant pit, awesome site to see.

I haven't followed or read dis tread cept for a quik glance at a few posts, but without a doubt Bad Brains will go down as the most infuential band to shake up punk rock. And not to be mistaken as punk rock, Bad Brains is Hardcore and the bands that followed like Minor Threat, Cro Mags, Agnostic Front............. are Hardcore, not punk rock b!tches! Was blessed to see them in the late 80's. H.R. is hands down the best front man eva!
Dis is Da Sh!t!!!!!
Not to bag on some of yous guys music preferences, but Blink 182 ain't punk. I liken it to kiddie pop. Could be just me, but this is what I was introduced to at a young age coming from a broken home in the 80's rolling with a bad crew of skaters and skinheads. Why should you go around bashing one another If they look or think different, why let it bother Everyones got their own style, their own thoughts Don't let it bother you, don't let it get caught Your fascist attitudes - we need the least With a scene that's fighting for unity & peace Don't need more anger; no more danger stop now before it's too late Learning how to respect each other is a must So why start a war of anger & danger among us It's time to grow out of your nazi hypocrism When you really don't want part of a fvcked up system Remember we're minorities and everyone of us counts, If we bring intimacy, then we're endowed. Fo Sho DP. Personally I didn't listen to them much although I saw them a couple times, they weren't personal favs. But one thing I have to say about the NY Hardcore scene and shows was the love and comradery. No matter how down and out I was being a homeless teenager, I felt at home and loved. Another fave and one of the best shows I've ever seen. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy thinking bout those days. Right on dude. They weren't my favorite but they were good ole hardcore like you mentioned. Not sure if you listened to the early days of AFI, but they were awesome too. A little more my generation. Strung Out and Good Riddance are some of my favorites.
