How bout it admin, tutorial on embed prease. Forgot about The Transplants, Tim Armstrongs side project. Not crazy about every song, more on a urban hip hop tip, but still a couple of gems in there. I don't know if OFF! is still doing anything but they have been the only punk band that has me stoked for anything new the last ten years or so. They have great, great vids and that great Keith Morris old school delivery. If anyone with embed skills can throw a couple up, would be cool. Or I may just be late on this conversation, this is a long thread, never went through it all.
I really think the Bouncing Souls are Muy Gay, but this song is pretty dope. It was in a Taylor Steele vid with AI @ Trestles. Man I miss AI. Fittind song now that I think about it.
Muy Gay? Nah man. Acquired taste maybe. I've seen the Bouncing Souls like 3-4 times and it was a blast every time. I still have a few of their CD's. I don't listen to them as much these days but sometimes I do for a little flashback. Good times they were.
Every time this thread pops up, in my head I hear: "Do you want to go to the punk rock thread?" "Yeah!!! Let's go to the punk rock thread!!"
Yeah I guess it's an acquired taste. I still think they're an unoriginal pop/punk. All the new comer punk girls around here drool over those guys. Me? meh.
I've been a Bouncing Souls fan since the late 80's or early 90's. Before they had any records out. I think I saw them for the first time in 89 or so. I have been a big fan since the early 90's and even have an old demo from like 91 or so. Their last album wasn't that bad. I actually started to sour on them a bit around 97-00. Their first album on Epitaph was meh (even they admit so and have claimed that it's ''Unfinished'') and Hopeless Romantic had half really good songs and half of it was meh. Then in 2001 when they came out with How I Spent My Summer Vacation, I was really into that album and became a big fan of theirs all over again. Those two late 90's albums are still the ones that I like the least, although there are songs on each of those records that are pretty ****!in awesome. I agree on Ole, that song is horrific. I remember being annoyed when the Devils used it as their goal song in their last year playing at The Meadowlands. Of all the songs by them, can't they be more known for something else? As far as people who don't listen to them, that's their most well known song and it sucks.
Where's crass?! you should check out the documentary on youtube I think it's one of the more origional punk rock stories.
