No, you are wrong, Your Pier. Maine is awesome.

I know, I know you are trying to be coy so Skippy from Virginia Be4ach don't come up there. But, alas, you are safe. Maine scares people south of New Jersey because of the cold, the moose and the isolation.

You know who knows aboot French Canadians?

Pumpmaster. That's who. Yep, this place called Wildwood, NJ used to pack them in during summer. They still arrive even though we closed our NEW JERSEY TOURISM Office in Quebec. No really there used to be an office there. A NJ Tourism office. Swear.

Your Pier, you got a boat? I want to explore that top part of your state. Be like Francisco Vasquez De Gama or something...maybe De Coronado.....One of them flippy Spaniards with boats.

Your Pier, I just adore Portland and Southern Maine. No, I mean I really like it. Shucks, it's been so long. Let's see, 1997 Kennebunk......yeah.

Oh, I was walking da streets one night back then and there were dudes on the streets that thought they were urban and tough.

That was cute. I mean c'mon...Portland, Maine? But anyways, I just love Maine.

Fark Jersey sucks, man, unless you are young and destructive.

You posted some nice videos, and made a decent argument based on empirical evidence, although it was selective and anyone could do the opposite.

The pro context at Jenks had some amazing talent, those heli spins off the closout sections looked cool, and as a standup surfer, I admire their full on charging.

You are still a douchebag, and you wouldn't last a second at Pumphouse even today, at waist to chest, you would not last for one second. I won't name any other spots down here except for Typhoon Lagoon, which I highly recommend. Bu-bye.

Yep. I agree. Rhode Island sucks for surfing/bodyboarding.

Now stop telling the world how much Rhode Island sucks and drive to Cape Cod, Boston North Shore or New Hampshire. Way better and not crowded.

Lets Face It, Rhode Island is like the size of a county in any other state and was going to be part of Massachusetts except the local Rhode Island Red Eggs were the best and told Massachusetts to screw off.

In the Summer the county, I mean state of Rhode Island, has more Mass., Connecticut, New Jersey and New York license plates than R.I. plates. And they all found out how much the local beach, slab and point breaks suck.

So yes you are right, do not go to Rhode Island to surf...

Oh Rhode Island types who are incredulous that foreign people arrive in your state.

First of all, during the summer many people take these things called vacations. Many people vacation at the sea shore.

Many people like to go to different areas on their vacations. Like, areas outside their norm...

That may account for some of the foreign license plates. Believe it or not, New Jersey gets PA, NY, OH, DE, CT, MA, RI and other strange plates.

    Unbelievable.

Shucks come to Hammonton and you'll see Mexicans and OTM driving cars with all sorts of plates. Idaho ?

And also, surfers from the lands of the beachbreak will travel to RI rocks and points because we don't have any down here. And y'all sure don't know what to with them. Ha ha. LOL FOFL LOL LMFAO BRB YOLO

not being hard either but that slab looks soft and not heavy at all. It has one hollow section. Anyone know anything about that spot. Was it just the wrong tide or bad swell? Does it get heavier and more hollow or is that its prime.

I don't know that place like the back of my hand, but I know where it us, and it def gets heavier, looked like a little too much tide in that vid.

What do you mean thats not heavy, listen to the music, its real heavy.

Its kind of a shame that most of the exposure RI has gotten is from Kettlebottom, no hate on them, but I have yet to see anything from their footage that justifies the scream core music.

Then again making Rhode Island look bad/lame is all good with me, less Ryan Macks to deal with. I dont need amateur videos of janky swells to know how good it gets here.

    HAHAHA
    Too much tide....lol

I know I said I'm done with this forum and I am, but I just wanted to finish one more thing in this thread.

Let's keep it real seldom :)

You don't even ride that place. Neither do I. How many times have you even looked at it? The place you usually ride with sand is heavier and you don't fracture bones when you wipe out! Talk about stupid injuries.

That shallow rock reef spot at beavertail point(they already spot named it in the bodyboard-x video that someone else posted so what the hell) is a ****t-y spot. Who the hell wants to get smashed into rocks? I certainly don't! That video was taken during dead low tide on a macking hurricane swell! There's 2 videos on here. The kettlebottom video and the bodyboard-x video. On the bodyboard-x video he specifically says it's dead low tide at filming. That's as heavy as it gets. It's not a true "slab" anyway. It's uneven boulders with barnacles. It's just a more shallow version of point judith. Pipeline is a slab as is teahapoo ect. Now is it possible during some fluke swell to get a little heavier? Sure like any break. But the videos that were uploaded were when it was firing. Talking once a year swell. It doesn't even break on most swells. If point judith was really heavy, you'd be having people getting serious injuries all the time because of that shallow uneven boulder bottom. Matunuck is a safe cobblestone bottom, but Point J is not. It's also a pain in the ass to get out on a bodyboard at these places trying to walk with fins on. You destroy your fin socks trying to walk on rocks and it hurts your feet. And it's a long way out to the waves. At a beach break I walk out until I'm stomach deep. It's much easier than trying to paddle in knee deep water with rocks everywhere. I tire very easily so I try to make it as easy as possible so I can last longer.

Would I call it mushy at beavertail point? Absolutely not. It's heavy. But it's not comparable to pipe obviously. Not even close. Hell, many beachies are heavier including ones YOU charge! I've always said beach breaks make for better breaks especially when you're dealing with short period stuff. RI's rock reefs suck for bodyboarding compared to NJ's beaches.

For people who aren't familiar with RI breaks, You've just gotten a tour. You're welcome. Most over rated rock reefs in the world. EC hype. And these videos were during hurricane/powerful swells. They don't/barely even break on your average fun sized swell. Monhan's needs a nearly head high swell to even break for example.

As far as riley's post. I don't believe in localism and NJ plates are welcome here. I just don't understand why they come here when it's usually better where they are!

Oh and lastly if you paused the video from "maine" at 1:25 you can see the red lighthouse from beavertail lighthouse! I'm 99% sure that maine video is beavertail even though they are calling it maine unless they have a lighthouse that looks exactly like it!

Again, I would never mention spot names, but the bodyboard-x video NAMED all these spots. I wish no one had uploaded that video on here and I have no idea why they felt it necessary to name all the spots in the video. Also, it must drive nj surfers nuts when these "pros" blow up a good spot in nj by showing landmarks. I would never upload a clearly decipherable spot when it's going off. It's like a banner directing people to that break. It's advertising.

    lol

No worries bro-man! What's done is done! I blame the makers of the video the most, who by the way have no no clue how to make a bodyboarding video. You don't film surfers riding rhode island mush point breaks in a bodyboarding video. I don't think I've ever seen such shameless spot naming in my life though as well. haha A lot more was named than point judith and monahan's in that video. And if you show a spot working and upload it on youtube you're adverting the spot regardless of whether it's a "secret".

Oh and sometimes mushy spots can be fun if they have good shape. 2nd beach for example. But many of these rock reefs also lack good shape(the rocks underneath mess up without the waves forms messing up it's shape in spots even with good winds) on top of being mushy. So not only mushy, but lacking proper shape.

Yeah on an average shoulder high swell(not once or twice a year stuff) RI doesn't hold a candle to NJ. I'll be honest in saying that RI does hold 15-20 foot waves at select spots like ruggles, which nj can't.(impossible paddle out if it did happen). But that's only once a year at best and I've never been in waves like that anyway.

    Alright, I'm gone!
Peace out wave bro's and ho's!

Look I respect bodyboarding, I do. But if these waves aren't challenging enough STAND UP and make it a bit more challenging for yourself.
