Nothing personal brah just telling you what was going on giving you the inside scoop home doggy. I'm in equal opportunist meaning I hate everyone from New Jersey equal. I mean you should be honored to be hated globally.

I understand A$$blasters anger... He's been through this before.

"The Man" has told him that marrying his sisters, daughters, and cousins is wrong and persecutes him for doing so. He remembers the glory days when his wife/sister would have a baby and he could say (out loud) "man she's sexy." No more...

It's not right. Give A$$blaster his freedom back!

Stupid posts like this make the forum uninteresting. NJSurfer42 posts some good stuff (he's the only one coming to mind at present) and there are lots of other interesting and funny threads. Non-surf talk on this forum is boring to me. Talking travel, equipment, waves, surfing technique, and other surf related topics makes me read more and contribute more. My 2 cents.

From the outside looking in it seems like many of the people who are big fans of the "spiced" up forums do not live close to the beach. They see the forum as their community and enjoy all the ribbing. It makes them feel part of the surf culture. Of course not all are inland surfers but many are or feel stuck in offices waiting for the weekend and a day off to get some waves. For others like myself I'm into the forum for an occasional laugh, to hear travel stories or if on rare occasions I can add something I will. I have enough of a connection locally to surfers and surfing in general that once it gets uncomfortable I just stop checking in. It doesn't bother me either way, I'm glad some are having fun even if it's not for me.

Here's an idea, if the content isn't to your liking, do something about it, instead of crying about it. Between the few of you that are whining, you should be able to produce content that matches your desired criteria.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

I don't enjoy everything that's posted, but that doesn't stop me from checking in to read things I'm interested in, and it certainly doesn't inspire be to cry about it. You're not being forced to read anything here. The power is in your hands to bail or sift through what ever you consider bs. Expecting 24/7 gold is unrealistic, and if you surf, the ocean should have already taught you that lesson. Life is much bigger than the SI forum. Perhaps some of you need to give your computers a break and go outside and play. Seriously, go surf, skate, bmx, fish, walk your dog or whatever.

It's a big world out there, don't get trapped in your computer .

Hey Zippy, why don't you speak directly to the person or "people" you are referring to in this post... then maybe they could respond. Indirect passive aggressiveness at it's finest. Hey, tell us more about this "surf community" you're a part of, sounds incredible. Do you have to pay member fees? Does it give you priority in the lineup? What are the perks, how much are the dues per year? Tell us more, inland minds are curious. Let me ask you this... if an "inland surfer" gets more water time than someone in your community, can they join your prestigious club? I'm just wondering, seems like a great group of folks, all proud of themselves cause they are privileged to live closer to the ocean, man all that gas money you save, bet that adds up huh. I'm not trying to be a smart a$$, I'm really interested in this community you speak of. Where does one sign up? Does it come with the lease or mortgage of your home?

Ha Ha, referring to anyone who reads my post that, who knows how, feels offended by it. I know of quite a few regulars on this forum that fit the description perfectly, but see no reason to point out that fact. I also know that when they do come to the beach they are good people who would never mouth off to anyone in person but are somehow transformed into obnoxious a-holes on here. As they are talking to me I'm amazed how normal they are compared to their online personas, and although they know who I am on the forum they have no idea I know who they are. Quite a few are from the DC area and a few more from PA, again good guys in real life, tough guys on here. I have no problem with it, have fun.

Well Zippy, there you go again beating around the bush. Look, I'm not trying to pick a fight here, just think you should be more clear of who you are talking to. I'd say anything I say on here, to you or anybody's face, so if that is directed at me, we could test your theory. Tell ya what, meet me half way, say... OBX?

Good point but these people and I have never had differences on the forum but they are on prowl for everyone else on here. So they have never said one thing on the internet and failed to back it up in person. Good guys in real life, blowing off steam on the internet for fun.

I'm just f'ing with ya Zippy, don't go getting me another infraction for suggesting we meet up. I think you're an OK dude most of the time, just thought you came off as a bit of an elitist with your comments.

I would read my Quran, if I wanted some some literary fiction. Same as the bible, just with a different "Savior".

Sorry I am late for the party. But here are my 3 cents. First off, I have never noticed changes in moderators etc. I have never suffered from one of these "so called" infractions. I say plenty of off the wall sh&5, but like I did there, as long as you "bleep" out your profanity, I don't think its much of an issue.

I think that surfing has changed over the past 5-7 years big time. We dont have as much to complain about, aside from lack of surf. I think that surfing lost its draw to the masses a lot when the economy tanked. People who dont surf really arent beating down our doors anymore. Its not all over TV and print media anymore... Things are back to the way they were a long time ago...

Also, there are a TON of users on this forum. Good for Micah, but these threads become over saturated. Its the same thing. New guy joins, wants instant gradification and doesnt read the previous 3 years threads before speaking. Asks about water temps. Gets beat down on the forum. Asks about spots, gets beat down on the forum....

    Ohh well... Thats life.

I have to ask though... If any moderators are listening, whats the deal? Has the federal government contacted the owners of this site, stating that they are monitoring the content? I mean, it is america. We can and should be able to say what ever the **** we want. Who cares if PBJ is talking about drugs??? People can choose to read it or move on to another thread.... Guys troll, or start random, strange threads and then poof, they disappear. Its like some strange russian message board mafia stuff... Say the wrong thing and you wont show up for dinner that night.

I am seriously wondering what brought on the heavy monitoring of the content on here. I can see pulling a racially or sexually charged post off the site, but other than that, it shouldnt really matter...

Is it sponsors? Are your advertisers concerned about the content? They shouldnt be. All they should worry about are the click throughs that generated....

I guess im getting old and I just dont get it. The internet is supposed to be the place where we can say anything. Where we can lash out at each other without repercussions.

Just saying... I seriously have asked like 5 times... what happened to Matt Johnson? He disappeared years ago... Why? Is he on here under a different alias without ops privileges?

Where is PBJ? And Why is he gone anyway? His Christmas story was the most interesting thing that happened on here all year. He is the reason for so many page refreshes, leading to more click throughs and more money for the operators.

Where is PBJ? Where is Matt Johnson? Why could we not let the NJShreddmachine stick around and entertain us...

If it aint broke, dont fix it...

People are so cut throat anyway, a decent conversation about surfing ususally doesnt happen. Everyone gets up in arms about dropping names on spots and stupid sh** like that, when everyone should know, THERE ARE NO SECRET SPOTS IN THE US!!!! I mean, everyone in San Diego acted like the La Jolla Reefs are a secret. Like, if I say the word "Horseshoe", I get PM bombed by angry locals... get over it. If someone wants to know where I got barreled in my avatar, Im going to tell them. Because its not a ****ing secret....

Those days are long gone. Sites like this, that we all know in love have a lot to do with taking those old times away... There are cams everywhere. There are surf maps everywhere. People make money off the stuff...

Times have changes.... This is supposed to be the spots for all of us angry, fed up east coasters to blow off steam cause there arent any waves.

Where is PBJ? What have you done with him and WHY?
