Sad case all the way around in the zimmerman/marten. Curious to some of the afterthought because I think I remeber a thread on here with pages of people making judgements.

I think legally it was the right verdict. Emotionally it's certainly outrageous. While Zimmerman probably was genuinely in fear for his life getting his ass kicked in by treyvon Martin, it was Zimmerman that created the situation.

It wasn't a murder trial in the usual sense, meaning it wasn't a guilty vs. innocent trial. Zimmerman said he killed the kid; the trial was about figuring out the motive behind it and the state trying to prove that Zimmerman had an intent to kill Trayvon. Without any evidence or eyewitnesses, there's no way the jury could have chosen guilty because it could not be proven that Zimmerman had intent to kill going into the altercation beyond a reasonable doubt (the last 4 words are key). That's the way our courts work. That said, he was probably guilty, just can't legally convict him.

blacks kill blacks everyday. blacks kill whites everyday. whites kill whites everyday.

this was an overhyped case to create racial tension.

the whole thing was f*cked up. the prosecution's only hope was to emotionally bully the jury into a conviction. the president commenting and master'baiters' like sharpton getting involved sure didn't help. but, i can understand peoples frustration with the whole d*nm system. especially in the wake of landmark civil rights legislation being struck down. makes race baiting too easy.
how bout the 'stand your ground' case in FL (on friday) where a black women was sentenced to 20 years for firing a warning shot into her own ceiling. she was being strangled by her husband and told she was gonna die. he had beat the f*ck outta her for years. crazy. where's the outcry?

in other news... atlantic is still flat. also a crime

Man, this case, besides Zimmerman's alleged feelings about blacks, had NOTHING to do with race. All you wannabe civil rights protesters need to find another cause to support.

Don't blame race or that idiot Zimmerman, blame Florida's gun laws that allow any moron to get a permit to carry a concealed weapon, and their self-defense law.

If this happened in Jersey, where a bullet has to be coming right for you before you can use force to defend yourself, Zimmerman would have plead to manslaughter months ago.

Being competent jurors, leaving personal emotions aside, they had no other choice. The prosecutor's evidence wasn't there. You have two sides saying, " Oh that was our guy screaming for help." According to physical evidence Treyvon most likely started the physical confrontation. Zimmy did have signs of being assaulted. No one saw what happened. So there was reasonable doubt which means if the glove don't fit you have to acquit. YEAH Johhny Cochrane.

So please, don't anybody start rioting and shoot. Plus, don't blame whitey, Zimmerman's not a real white guy.

    you're a racist!

haha just kidding. I hear you man. you will never hear an outcry in the media for cases like this. just like there is no outcry in the media for cases like the unarmed Latino man that ran from police and shot 4 times in the back and a fifth at point blank after he was down and out.
the media is the mouthpiece for the gov. to propagandize the public to cause the racial tension so the have the excuse to further militarize the police after riots break out.

    tumblr_m7xynsFaEt1qbogplo1_1280.jpg

which coincidentally riots have broken out all over with numerous whites killed over this aka Reginal Denning style. total f**k'n BS thanks to our gov. and the lame ass dinosaur media.

Oh wait, what Atlantic is still flat? Not my Atlantic. Actually, yesterday morrow was almost killer. Glassy, wedging 2-3+ slamming an inside bar........but it was just missing something. Cross chops kept friggin things up. Was on the closed-out side........but it was almost there. Almost. It was almost there. But it wasn't. A little too warbled and mixed-up. But it was almost there. Almost.

Oh and remember angry African Americans, you guys won the OJ trial. So, just remember that. And Rodney King got his day, too. Man, Rodney's was a joke. Yo, if you take cops on a high speed pursuit and offer ANY resistance when they finally catch you - you are getting a beating. Doesn't matter if you are black, green or white. Then add PCP into the mix. You are getting a beat down.

Then Rodney gets money suing.......then blows it all in a year.......then drowns in a pool. Besides the great John Bonham, who drowns in a pool? Ya know what it is that I be sayin' ?

Yeah. I think its ironic how much the race card was pulled out by the twisted mainstream media, president, and a bunch of surfers on here. They read the book by the cover and revealed the truth about who keeps race alive in country. Deep irony. As mentioned, I feel for the martin and zimmerman family for this tragedy.

Haha yeah man the workers money has been abused so heavily and incrementally with nothing to show for that it is hard to slow that ball rolling. In other words, coverage on waste is important but its hard to dent or take away funds once initiated. Sucks.

yep. i always saw OJ (non race related case) as payback for Rodney King. people in south central LA celebrated the OJ verdict like it was new years. or reparations day finally came.

RK was a racial case though. douche bag or not, that was gnarly. plus, when the cops commit the crime, things gets way worse in the aftermath. sucked for those poor korean businesses that suffered the most in the looting.

i wish those fed up with the justice system would be more outraged at things like what the supreme court did a few weeks ago. the problem starts there and trickles it way down. i guess it doesn't get play on BET.
