Have any of you guys heard of this spot called the wedge near assateague island. I heard its like 2-3 miles south of it and pretty much can only be accessed by boat or by a long walk down the beach and across some channel. I heard it can get pretty sick with some solid swell??

    Shoals.

I was out at the shoals recently with a jet ski jumping off the faces. It was a lot of fun. As I was riding around I noticed that there were perfect powerful chest waves. Has anyone tried anchoring a boat near it and paddling over. Next time there is an offshore wind and the shoals are going off i'm definitely giving it a try but some input would be nice.

Dude..rode there tonight. Its a slab wedge that breaks all the time when its flat at the naval jetties. It is on lockdown though by the New York kneeboard locals braa. They will kill you or at least stab you if you come to their spot. Locals only braa at unicorlobrowoland.

You're thinking of the right place - it was featured in an early surf film, "Forgotten island of Santosha." That pretty much blew open the secret of The Wedge.

yea its definitely a mellow wave compared to oc at the shoals. I saw it when it was about 4-6 feet and it looked plenty powerful and fun. So next time its going off in the morning we are trying it.
