So apparently to make it through the "elite" nike judge panel you must: 1)Have moderate basic surfing skills 2)Have an ability to pull small tricks in an almost static environment 2)Incorporate ****ty music 3)Produce with tons of production glam and little action 5)Make a STOKE-less video What a joke. Good one on The Wild Lyfe for being the voter's choice
Ya, I was really disappointed to see that FUS won. Granted, their video work was amazing, but that wasn't what the contest was about! It was about the surf crew, the camaraderie, the surfing, and creativity - at least that is what I thought the contest was about. Half of the FUS footage was insects. I thought Wild Lyfe was going to win for sure. Now these guys, that surf a river, are going to take some amazing surf trip - I wonder if they can even surf in the ocean.
Yeah, still trying to figure out what cockroaches and Norwegian Black Metal have to do with surfing........
It wasn't a surf competition. Somehow three "surfing"videos made the top 3 but overall that contest was stupid
Fus I was a fan of thewildlyfe but the FUS video was sick! It was sick in every way. The tricks, editing, quality. It was just different and interesting. Sometimes you have to think outside the box.
