Yeah DP... When I hear hoof beats, I immediately think of a herd of zebras! Noises when I'm alone at night? Zombies...
Overactive imagination even sans mind altering chemicals...

    Dredging is a funny thing......

Towns like mine the surf actually improves with every beach fill project they do. I look forward to it.

Places like LBI it turns the surf to garbage. LBI hasn't been the same since the last time when they buried the groins and jetties that made the place so great.

I think it has to do with how steep the beaches are and proximity to deep water. Ocean City's beaches are relatively flat and we have a very gentle gradual slope out to sea. LBI on the other hand the beaches are steep with deep water near shore.

They're replenishing the N end of CB, but that does make a bit of sense. There's no houses and it's a park owned by the city that brings in a lot of revenue. The Nor'Easters this winter wiped it out to the point where most of it was gone at high tide.

Last time they did it after a couple good storms it actually helped the beach breaks, probably added another 3-5 secs to the wave when conditions were right. They do get a lot of sand drifting down south of the pier, not sure how it affects it there.

eh its not always that great afterwards, takes a few noreasters to stir the sand around.but yea ur summer is over lol,no storms strong enough to shake it.but its nothing new, they do this shyt every few years or so.as far as I remember lbi always had big long beaches, havnt been there in a few years but I imagine nothing changed.the beaches near me,u climb over the seawall and u have 20ft of sand before u hit water.and the waves are great lol
