The one think I like best about birds is they're so dam tasty! Get that skin nice and crispy... and don't waste the hearts and livers!
This is a nutty thread. Anyway, I remember as a kid living in CT seeing so many different songbirds and other types just in our backyard: cardinals, blue jays, blue birds, robins, orioles, scarlet tanagers, gold finches, wood thrushes, red headed wood peckers, doves, sparrows, wrens, humming birds, redwing black birds... In particular, I recall seeing a flock a scarlet tanagers in the large oak tree in our backyard. I don't think you can find such a variety of birds in one place anymore. Pesticides and development took their toll. I don't have a problem with birds, but I don't appreciate it when the gulls use my car as a "bombing run" target.
