Yeah. Its pretty reliable. And I personally think that their cams are the best for NJ on the internet.
Yeah I use that site all the time. I kinda wish they would move The Cove Cam to a differnt spot up north a bit
yeah that cove cam is kind of a drag. i don't really use that site for the forecast. i do use it for the cams daily though even though i rarely surf any of those breaks aside from manasquan inlet, and casino pier. i'm still trying to figure out where the lbi cam is. the spot on that cam is always empty unless there is a BIG swell. the surf at casino pier seems to break better on the opposite side of the pier than the side on that cam. if you look at the surfline cam for casino pier it's on the opposite side, and you'll always see a lineup there on good days. i also have no idea where the lavallette cam is. is that even in lavallette? the best break on those cams is definitely ocean city. any knee high, and above days you'll see at least a couple people out there. thats over on the north end by 1st street. it is a pretty good spot, but i know pretty good uncrowded spots in oc also. so yeah thats a good site for the cams. surflines cams suck. 30 seconds, and slow motion streaming. only downside to the surfers view are a lot of the cams aren't in well breaking spots which can be a good or bad thing.
don't know where they'd put the cam on queen,headquarters or poverty,but the cove can be an indicator. the north side of the pier almost never breaks anymore and is usually smaller than other nearby spots. the southside of the pier cam gets broken rightfully so as it gets too crowded with the influx,but surfersview doesn't have it. the lavallette cam is really weird.looks bigger and good when it's too small,looks manageable when it's too much swell. the inlet cam is good but has been broken and moves around way too much. but they do have the most and best cams for free. cams suck anyway,they're just something to look at when you can't get there. just go check it yourself and paddle out
wow, as long as I've lived/ surfed here, never heard of the site. The cams are better/ smoother than the surfline regular-def cams. Thanks for the heads up.
