agreed, but the truth hurts retail shops suck for boards longboarding is what I do drunk or when I dont care cause its easier the best surfer is the best surfer, not some guy going straight with a smile the surf heros ARE assholes surfing wont make you a good person, working on yourself makes you a good person lemme know if I missed something
I wish this is how mainstream portrayed our hobby. I miss the days of being snarked at when I told non surfers I surf.
this "article" isn't truth, it's opinion. & the author is a grouchy, cantankerous, & otherwise miserable human.
I don't feel bad at all. Yes all of those things are true, but make me very happy day to day. Otherwise, what do I have to look forward to... certainly not work. Plus the woman and the dog will be there when I get home. I love being selfish, and I thank all of you poor souls having lots of fun, waiting on the shoulder.
I don't care what anybody says my mind is at peace when I come out of the water. Rory Patton is no Jung.
speaking of kooks, which one of you did I spot on the Eastern Shore wearing two f*cking leashes on sunday? Also saw a dude with a tribal tramp stamp.
Haha, this chef that worked for me a couple years ago had one. Big tough guy. Used to be a competitive boxer and would always rope me into sparring with him out back. Big mouth. Always talking sh**. One day, we take a break a walk down to the beach to get in the water. Dude took his shirt off and started walking out. I literally fell in the sand and couldn't breath for 5 minutes. WTF he asked.... YOU HAVE A FU**ING TRAMP STAMP!!!!! He told me that it was poor decision making and he was heavily into heroin at the time. No excuse bro. Clowned him on that probably every day for 6 months after.
I fished with a mate out of Oregon Inlet who has a Salt Life tramp stamp. I couldn't believe it. One of the best fisherman I've met though.
