Taking food out of the mouths of job creators. http://www.moneynews.com/Economy/Kentucky-Town-Public-Gasoline-Station-Big-Oil/2014/07/24/id/584712/
Provided FYI. Site listing the lowest and highest gas prices in VA: http://www.virginiagasprices.com/GasPriceSearch.aspx I saw $3.19 and $3.27 yesterday driving up and back on I-95 to DC.
and chic, I'm on the same page as you as far as the whole myth of the ultra-wealthy, big corpo being job creators but I fail to see how this is anything about that. I doubt they have a source for the fuel other than buying it wholesale from some big oil company. At best they can knock off the few pennies per gallon that a gas station/c-store tacks on as profit. Unless the local stations are outright gouging the public then this town is likely doing more harm than good to it's people. Big oil (the so-called job creators) still get their share but the mom and pop gas stations (actual job creators) are run out of business and take some jobs and dollars out of the local economy. It's a zero sum (or perhaps negative sum) game when done at the local level. Man, that sure sounds like some soshulist, librul lefty talking there...
