Looks like this week can have some rideable conditions with winds under 10 knots. Right spots should have some good conditions and nice size. Nice period too! I am interested in seeing how the sandbars hold up to the longer period and N swell-been a long time.
short period is more peaky and wedged up, but less closed out on beachies long period is lined up with a longer interval between sets and waves. most of the time, unless there is a lot of angle, the long lines close out with the occaisonal shoulder if you are in the right spot. its better for a reef (not for us), or a breakwall/jetty to form peaks.
Wontonwonton...aka kyle latch is a ***et that knows nothing about surfing... dont listen to him, hes from PA andwatches surf movies everyday and acts like he knows everything there is to know...truth is that he sucks at surfing and thinks he is donovan frankenriders prodojay(cant spell) he is scared 2 go on big waves and thinks that southside is gods gift to mankind... when all the locals hate hime and want to drop in on him and doesnt respect others ideas on wat is better..he enjoys knee high waves and thats it and has never even seen BIG Southside in person and says he would go even though he wouldnt. HE IS A KOOK!!!! STAY OUT OF BETHANY, COVE, AND SOUTHSIDE Love, MIKE AND ALL THE OTHER LOCALS THAT THINK U SUCK
