I know the water temp is still low, but I got out yesterday just to goof off in a 3/2 but still with gloves/booties/hood combo.. wasn't a bad 2 hours!

Keep these air temps up and pretty soon we'll be able to lose the hoods... but not quite yet!

What does the temp have to be to go out with 3/2 and booties and gloves?

Anything warmer than the last few months... whenever it feels good enough to lose a layer

    No hoods!

I am not sure where you guys are from, but in delaware we dropped the hoods and the mils! My set-up now is 4/3-3 mil boots, 5 mil gloves and a couple guys had 3/2's on. The sun has been cooking with these west winds. I do believe the water temps are behind schedule and still seasonably cold.

Whatever you're comfortable in. Some people have a tolerance for the cold, others don't. If you try it, and you're fine... Surf in a 3/2 with boots and gloves. Less restriction. If you're cold. Put the 4/3 or 5/4 back on.

Remember when this was still possible? I'm still in a 6/5/4 full winter setup. Today was fun though, seems like notoriously it is this time of year.

    depends on where.

Let me put it to you this way. I was out yesterday and didn't even take down my hood nor did anyone else.

Was out on the DE side and didn't wear a hood at all.

Do you Jerz cats trow on extra rubbah when encountering the AC wahines of easy virtue? Do you Montauk chargers shed it fully for your wahines? Work your way into the family lineup!

Depends on how you define "sick". Flu, perhaps?? If flu--it is caused by a virus; you had an exposure to a carrier simultaneous with your session. The flu strain per CDC this year is causing illness for 2-3 weeks, which is why I am bringing this up. I know, I am at the tail end of end now.

For OC they seem to show the temp based off the Delaware Bay Buoy. I tend to look at ocim2 ...gives you a more accurate reading near shore. DB shows 42 while ocim is showing 49. Could be why the water was a little more tolerable.
