Yeah I've had some of my best days ever at The Cove this winter. The sandbar shifted a bit north for a while so the rights were just firing on more than one occasion (The Cove usually just spits long lefts).
Yeah you hear a lot of the "bros" in Seaside talk crap about Shorties, but it's by far the most consistent, year-round break (in N. Oregon). Plus if you paddle out on a weekday this time of year you'll have it to yourself.
I know... But they have the best wave in North America on lock down. They get a little jaded. Shorties is world class when it comes together
Yeah, supposedly an 18 footah...yikes. I have jetty property at the Snores, but I decided to relocate closer to more consistent surf. And, something has always lurked me about surfing the Snores. Almost as many seals as some of those sharky pointbreaks in Namibia. DP inside the Harbor was *almost* breaking yesterday...I'll probably never get to surf that spot. I've seen pix of the place going off like Indo, but it's even more fickle than the Strait. I've never been skunked at any spot in the world as often as I have at DP. You got that right. Air's been around 50-60, water around 52, all-day offshores and *wayyyy* more sunshine than is usual around these parts. I'm counting my blessings, but I can't shake the feeling that it's all gonna come to an inglorious end real quick. Get it while you can, buoys.........
You cats are making me want to get to OR again. I've got some business to attend to in Bend soon so perhaps I'll have to make the drive out to the coast after.
Kidrock's from Westport? Hey, do you know Pepsi? That nigga owes me a coke. AO you ever hit Jordan River? Yeah, I named it and I don't give a truck aboot Sooke trolls, either. We slaughter natives down here in America. Hey you sob's, any of youse ever know a Matt Perigrine or something like that. I want to find that guy.
