    Hey everyone,

So I'm sick of my 5/4 and the next one down is 3/2, you think it's too early to break that out even if I wear a rash guard under, plus 5mm boots/gloves? What do we think?

    Peace

3/2, boots, no gloves in Monmouth this evening. Could probably lose the boots too, but I actually like em.

Unless you have disposable income 3 mil boots, 3 mil gloves and even a 3/2 suit are pointless in Jersey. I either wear boots and/or gloves or I don't.

3 mil just seems like an unnecessary accessory.

    Even the 3/2 is basically a waste. I go 4/3 to a 2 mil SS/Full spring suit.

    Just saying.....

4/3 is usually the luxury suit.

5/4 to 3/2 to boardies and a top is the usual.

agree on no need for 3 mill boots though. I do like 3 mil gloves over 5 mil gloves though

Just to give the heads up, went out 5mm boots (all i got) 3.2 and was perfect for 2 hours, little chilly towards the end but waves died down and there wasn't much paddling going on.

    Thanks
    Peace

I have both a 4/3 and a 3/2 and I pick the 3/2 over the 4/3 anyday. If you have a nice one it can be used in a wider range of temps then the 4/3, plus its much more comfortable. Probably my most used suit.

I have 3 mil boots too that I use but they are probably not needed, they were the first boots I got and I would get more use out of 5 mils for sure. 3 mil boots are cheap though, they were only like $25 which is worth it in my opinion.

It was nice to lose the gloves yesterday, I was perfect in the 3/2 with the 3 mil boots. I'm glad it was an ugly, rainy evening which led to a nice fun little jetty all to myself for 2 hours.

i just wear my black spiderman suit. If i am cold I just shoot some web into your moms face, that always helps. Seriously though, noone cares when you wear your 3/2. Wearing a rash guard under a 3/2 vs a 4/3? Come on dude, should I stroke it with my left hand or my right?

there's a great difference in year-round water and air temps in the mid-atlantic region,so my answer would be different depending on where you're talking about

i'll be in my 3/2, and boots with no gloves tomorrow for sure. i've used my 3/2 a couple times already, and last time i went out which was almost two weeks ago i felt like i could lose the gloves, but i didn't. the ocean is in the upper 50s now so i can do without tomorrow morning. especially with warm air temperatures, and minimal wind no problem. i'm hoping to lose the boots soon too, but my toes start getting charlie horses. i've gotten my toes coming out of place in 67 degree water, but easily being able to trunk it. hoping to be able to trunk it in two weeks.
