matt - stay in school; get out a bit early if posib. looks to be sideshore (at vpier) in the morn at least; offshores in the afternoon.
Get up early and check it. The pier handles big swells really well. Take note that low is at about 1pm. So early and late (before and after school) might be the best bets.
Is this swell really going to be "big"? I'm hoping it's in the shoulder to head high range, personally. Not windy, lefts, top-to-bottom surfing. Not too many special requests here. LOL.
I would skip school but don't make a habit of it.when u get older and have to debate whether to skip work lol, then u have to worry about not getting paid, getting biytched at when u come back, etc.unless u work near the beach and ur boss is a surfer.i missed a lot of good days working, and the worst part is when u work a few blocks from the beach, hear about the swell, and by the time u get out of work ur too tired and don't bother to stop at the beach and the next day u see a hundred photos of epic waves in the same spot u blew off
It was supposed to be bigger today in Long Island. So I took the late shift and drove up with some buds. It was fun and definitely good, but only saw a few head high sets in a few hours and I didnt get into any of em. Matt, dawn patrol, go to class tardy, but happy
