Any one surfed up here recently? Any Places breaking good around NR Inlet Rd? Or Very south end near Sea Turtle?
I haven't been to the north or south ends of the island lately, but it isn't breaking good near the Surf City Pier, I can tell you that. Even when there's actually a bit of swell it breaks close to shore, even at low tide. No sandbars I guess. But if it was breaking good, I wouldn't tell you, 'cause it's my secret spot.
S. Topsail can be good...if you have hours to sit and wait for the tide to get right...I always bring my dog so I can have something to do while the tide and swells are trying to figure themselves out. We play fetch until the waves seem ride-able. Clearest water I've seen on the east coast at times. Man I love me some Topsail.
