Trying to plan a trip this winter to Apple Bay. Has anyone stayed there? Where is there a decent hotel to stay (with the girlfriend...)? Want to stay on the beach walking distance to the breaks. If anyone has any insight that would be awesome.

i wen there on a cruise a few years ago. i have no knowledge on the hotels, but dude, the locals told me the best break is "the Bathes".you have to take a boat there.it's known mostly for being a diving spot, but that's also the spot for nice waves too.i found a little surf shop in town & they had tons of pics on the wall from "the Bathes".do yourself a favor & take the boat ride there:)

btw,the whole island is beautiful, your girl will love it.you can't go wrong with pretty much any hotel choice.the british really don't tolerate crime or "ghetto areas" so you'll be straight bro:)

You need a boat and know a local to get to the best breaks

    Tortola

Depending on how much you want to spend on accommodations, there was a ncie goup of small bungalows located just up the hill from Little Apple Bay. The proprietor who went by the name"Ellie Foot" a Canadian built these years ago with spectacular views overlooking Jost Van Dyke and neighboring islands as well as Little Apple Bay. Just a short pleasant walk away.
