Hey all, have not found this subject discussed elsewhere on the forum and wanted to see if anyone has experience using the Trace App?

I just bought the sensor as part of the Surfline Scout program and am excited to start tracking my sessions. I like the idea of tracking the speed/direction of my turns, along with wave count, session time, length of ride and etc.

Seems like a cool idea but I don't know if I want to quantify how awful my surfing actually is. My foggy memories will likely paint a prettier picture. It's bad enough that photos exist. ;)

    This!

But I've been using it for about a year now and it's actually pretty cool. It does serve as a cold reality check but that works both ways. They good days are there for you to see too.

Nice I'm pretty pumped on the concept of it. Does it allow you to log the conditions, board and some notes and what not?

It does. It synchs automatically w/the Surfline data for the spot and time (quality depends on where you are, Hawaii, CA, good; Mexico for example, not so much) but it also allows you to input your own notes when you synch the session.
