My first serious post on this threade... I pick up trash on the beach because I've seen seagulls and sea turtles fucked up by plastic bags and fishing line. No Bueno... I also pick up my dog shit, because I don't want to step in it...
I compost and reuse bags and plastic jugs and containers because I'm a cheap ass bastard and that stuff is free. My wife is always dumpster diving and recycling old furniture and pallets. She actually has sold several pieces.
If we were all cheap, selfish bastards the world would be a cleaner place...

Stop using straws, really. They rarely get recycled, and cause all sorts of trouble for marine life.

The chinks recycle their own sewage and poop. Coincidentally, they also have the highest incidence (diagnosed cases) of hepatitis B, C and other infectious parasites, and sequentially cases of hepatic cancers. That alone tells me to NOT recycle mammalian poop into our fertilizers. Might as well dump DDT in it......at least I will not get typhus (Rickettsia prowazacki)......

I don't compost dog crap... just kitchen scraps (no animal scraps, just plants), paper towels, leaves, etc.

And yes... they've been composting human crap for a long time... you just can't use it on your food plants. But it's safe for your lawn.
