Pretty Cool! It been named: Subtropical Storm Ana. Stoked and looks like we get waves from it on Delmarva after it comes north.
Saw the same thing when looking here for EMass report the other day. Went up 5 in 7 hours them down 5F by the night. I think it was mitchell that said it was due to SE winds and SE swell. Is NE going to get swell from sweet girl Ana? Felt this in NorCal the other day from the combo of the big azz SSW and the NW. Have noticed this a lot on the east coast too. You're right queen mum. It's like when you effed up growing up and your parents don't freak out, they just act disappointment. It's worse punishment that way. I appreciate the reprimand and it was lacking in sensitivity to those who've endured losses. I only felt appropriate commenting on it since I'm on the water myself. There are certainly different setups in different places with varying risk. I take it back brewengineer.

Ah man this bad biatch Mary Lee is lurking not to far from someones spot.. I think she pinged yesterday
I didnt say that. I dont think swell direction has any effect on water temperatures. I think a big reason surface water temperatures fluctuate so much this time of year is the surface water is warming up so quickly compared to ust a few meters down, and the bays are warming up so fast. It doesnt take much mixing to bring up cold water and it doesnt take many calm days for the surface water to warm back up.
One ping yesterday right near the South Jetty in Brigantine Another ping this morning a couple hundred yards off the sand in LBI Mary is a beast 16ft over 3000 lbs
Today was a blast! Surfed my ass off, my shoulder feels great, was nervous every about it but it held up great. Hope everybody else got some. http://www.gulfster.com/Daily/2015PictureGallery/050815ec/index.html
if you buy a house near the beach and it gets blown up go cry and tuff ****, that's what happens when you build a house on a ocean and that's what insurance is for.
Ha thats the stuff that keeps me busy, but why would you post this crap its screaming envy and jealousy
Waist to chest at my spot. Was out for 3 hours. I hiked down the beach after I was done, and mostly saw knee to waist. Tons of guys sharing little sets around 28th.
On a related note, the storm doesn't look to be hitting CHS anymore, so my house is happy. Stay safe, guys on the NC/SC boarder. Waves don't look like they will be that great today. Going to need the log for sure.
The waves in this picture are WAY bigger than it looks. It was breaking about 60 yds off the end of a 850 ft pier at dead high tide. Haven't gotten a session in since Thursday morning but it looks like we may get a semi break in the wind tomorrow around mid day.
Umm...because of the 35-40 mph side shore wind. Didn't see a sole out all day. Only a kook would of paddled out or asked that question.
