Watching the CB cam... we lost a lot of sand!! mid tide now, almost no beach by the pier. low tide lots of exposed rock.

 

Actually, that picture in question, it's blowing side/offshore not side shore. And isn't exactly going to kill anyone. Some high-tide, sectioning BS is what it is. But it certainly isn't Victory at Sea conditions...

 

You should have jumped off the end of the pier. On a log. With proper wetsuite coverage of course. And the right fins...gotta have the right fins. What fins are best for those conditions? I don't know. But you got to have the right fins. It makes all the difference.
