    The storm is freaking TINY....

Danny remains a tiny hurricane. Hurricane force winds extend
outward up to 15 miles (30 km) from the center and tropical storm
force winds extend outward up to 70 miles

There just isnt enough fetch in a system that small to push out much swell..

does seem weak. Maybe we get a little keyhole in the wind shear that allows it sit off the SE coast for a few days and push some weak swell to us.

Looks like a few of those models have it turning north with the big factor being the wind shear. Wind Shear aside, the way this thing is tracking on the front end, I could see it taking a favorable track towards Bermuda...then who knows. It's always a crap shoot but fun to anticipate. That wind shear map Mitchell posted really keeps it in check regardless...unless that changes, which is my hope, it will probable be lack luster.

Barry, you've got to birth your own kind of forecasting service... with a website.

Good to see Danny pucker up to a cat 3 cane taking some of the guru predicters by surprise. Might have to pack up for a surfin' safari south if he doesn't bend north. Either way I am planning on getting some that groundswell as it has been one of the flattest summers on the East coast that I care to remember. Please bring it on Danny !

Never mind who I am , it's where I am. Low country of SC and we been starving for swell for some time. How about yourself. You scoring swell consistently this summer ?

yeah that's my go to site right there...especially the swell forecast data you can get by checking the "bulletin" box and then clicking on any one of the buoys near you - gives you pure model forecast swell data for that specific location.

yeah i'd say semi consistently, when stars align just right, and the water shifting moon graces the times i'm neither asleep nor at work. yup...I'm fairly happy... then again, i'm usually fairly happy about most things.
