You know my wife is part black so I would be offended if he dropped the N word or something like that, but you can't assume it's racism on that meme, sorry. I can see where you could make the argument that it is, but I could see it being a joke about something else too. I'd rather not label Lance a racist for something we cannot prove.

I agree, and that is why I asked for the meme to be explained.

We agree that the meme could be interpreted that way, and without a good explanation (sorry, the clintons taking stuff from the whitehouse is not valid) I was left with only that.

I'm not familiar with the Clinton story. Did they really take stuff while they visited? If so, then I could easily see that being the punch line of the joke. If that didn't happen, then I really don't know what it was about. You did give him a chance to explain though, so I give you that.

I don't think he really knows what the joke is about either to be honest lol My brother runs across all sorts of memes like that and sends them to my phone all the time, half the time I'm like "what the hell does this one mean?"

Anyway, the first thing I thought of when I saw it was the Obama insinuation (Does that make me a Racist?). I did not know Hillary and Bill stole utensils (that still cracks me up).

There have been countless comedians making jokes about black people and theft and white people that can't jump lol.

The left/Progressives have been very keen on the race bait mantra (especially during Obama terms...naturally occurring I guess, given that he was the first Black President). The Zimmerman episode comes to mind (don't get your panties ruffled shred...just a reference). The race card, IMO, is way over played and actually fuels the debate. No doubt there is racism though.

I actually believe there is still a ways to go on the race debate. It is unfortunate. But, at the same time, we can't just make accusations without the facts. Even if the meme meant to insinuate the Obamas Stole, it was a (poor) Joke...but it was a joke right?

it is obvious that this trial is a tactic to get to Trump...shoot they may even find some funny business with Trumps business. However, there does not seem to be any facts coming out on Trump colluding with Russians to change the election. If there was, I want to know...just hasn't happened.

it is a common tactic used by prosecutors all the time. you get the small guy to roll on the guy further up until you get to the top. rudy giuliani has used it many times in the past when he went after the mob in nyc.

the trial is about manafort and his alleged financial crimes. the judge has already made it clear that he doesn't want unnecessary reference to russia and oligarchs and things like that.

why are you worried about collusion? giuliani has been saying all week that collusion is not a crime. trump also said so in a tweet. now conspiracy is a whole nother ball of wax.

but since you and many others want to know the truth, we should let mueller's investigation follow its full course. i mean if trump has done nothing wrong then he should have nothing to worry about.

I can't believe I have to explain this....

The first joke was an obvious swipe at a former president painting all blacks as thieves, the other pokes fun at the names given in Asian culture and does not label an entire race as something derogatory. Pretty clear difference.

Again, I am not against a joke playing on a race, just think the first joke Lance told was lame and not imaginative at all. If the joke has some wit and isn't just trashing as entire race, I can laugh at that. Taking the low hanging fruit of putting a banana with a black guy or insinuating blacks are thieves is a weak move imo.

Also, when it comes to the meaning of Lances first joke. Occam's razor...
