She saved the cigar and dress because she is wasn't some naive and helpless 22 year old like you assume. She knew what she was doing and knew having evidence like that could have been very valuable at some point.

You are also saying something happened that the victim herself disagrees with, so yes I would say you are making assumptions.

I’m beginning to entertain the notion that in such a circumstance the idea of consent might well be rendered moot,” she wrote. “But it’s also complicated. Very, very complicated.”

 

So where does she say he forced himself on her? Again, making assumptions from some pretty vague quotes. No worries, we just don't agree on this one NY.

The way I read this, she is basically saying that back when she was 22 and she was sleeping with Billy boy, it did not occur to her that the power differentials was an issue or were even at play in their relationship.

She's admitting that it took her 22 more years to realize that it may have been an issue. Being that she didn't see anything wrong with it back then, why should we see her as a victim in the situation now?

Seems like hindsight is 20/20 here.

True. It being inappropriate wasn't the issue I was debating though. It was definitely inappropriate, on both of their parts. My point was that she is no victim. She wanted that D, and she got it.
