Same issue with my wife years ago....she had a stomach/nausea disorder that was causing her to lose weight. Our family doctor suggested trying marijuana to see if it relieved the nausea...at the time Delaware had no legal way to get it. Neither my wife or i really ever smoke anymore, but i grew a bit in my yard for her to try and was so pissed off the entire time that this little act of kindness was illegal and keeping a few buds in a jar in the freezer to try and get relief for my wife could potentially get me in trouble. So hypocritical for any party that stands for personal freedoms.

 

We are on the exact same page here.

It's not the individual cops. The LEOs that I know could not care less about herb. It's the for-profit prison system that relies on prohibition to supply a steady stream of folks getting locked up.

I'm sure they really love having pot "criminals" in their jails. They are probably the easiest folks to deal with.

How nice it is, the day after the election, that we (some of us at least) can agree (for the most part) on something.

Indeed, we are not as divided as it may seem a lot of times. It’s nice to have some common ground. We all want what we feel is best for our Country, good intentions for most I feel. We can improve on some areas but if we focus on what we have in common we can all come together a little more. I have hope that we can repair the relations of this great Nation. Stay positive folks, even when we may not agree. It all starts in our small circle or sphere of influence.

 

DC is the problem. There is plenty of things to agree upon. If I was advising the GOP i would have said to pass a bill legalizing it at the federal level. There would have been a red wave then.

 

It woulda got my vote.

 

Holy crap, talk about crossing party lines and taking votes. They would possibly convert a lot of young dems too, by getting rid of the repressive stigma the GOP has with them.

 

If the Dems re-elect Pelosi to speaker and Warren as the 2020 nominee, they deserve to get slaughtered next cycle. Talk about insanity.

 

Don’t forget Maxine Waters for finance, and Schipp for Intelligence.

I worked for a lady this summer who is basically a CNN brainwashed Trump hater and even she expressed disdain for those two.

 

when i was in politics things got done via compromise. In the 80s immigration would have been handled by some sort of amnesty but the wall gets built.

 

Agree...I honestly can't imagine any party that wants to be taken seriously doing that, but it very well could happen. They are that out of touch. Worse than getting slaughtered, putting up such a travesty takes pressure off other parties to field quality candidates and increases the chances of whack jobs getting elected because all they would need to run on is: "I'm not the party of Pelosi and Warren" . That kind of politics is what gets us garbage.

 

Compared to what bamster lost in his midterms, this election is a resounding YES to the Trump presidency! Dems will only get a hair-thin margin in the House, not like the 60 or more they would need to really get things done.

And a lot of the new ones elected ran specifically as anti-pelosi. House is not going to be the dim lap-dog it was against W, not by a long shot. And, unlike W, no way Trump will sign off any dim crud that somehow makes it through the Rep Senate.

Look for nearly 100% stalemate the next two years. Which means we keep deregulation and tax cuts
And the economy ALWAYS does better knowing there will be a lull in Washington meddling!

Best part of all? 100's of Federal Judges will make it through easier. And if/when Ruthy kicks off, won't be any circus like for Kavanaugh, but will be a shoe-in to whomever Trump selects ))

If the Democrats think they are going to waste Taxpayer Money investigating us at the House level, then we will likewise be forced to consider investigating them for all of the leaks of Classified Information, and much else, at the Senate level. Two can play that game!

I'll say it since no one else will address or maybe not hip to it, but there was major meddling in this election in favor of the left. And those that are guilty should face justice. The left wants to scream Russia with zero proof except for a dozen bots that played both sides. But it is the major tech companies that meddled. Goolag, FalseBook, and Twatter openly censored right leaning and independent individuals and institutions through algorithms, out right bans, and demonetization to suppress their voices so most of what the public saw was left leaning information and propaganda. This is a crime and violation of the Constitution. Sadly the Repubs were silent on this issue albeit because they are in bed with these companies.
