Nope, no slack for asshattery. She refuses to take her Tweet down, instead trying to explain it away. Bad start for her, and her total lack of accountability is a 'red' flag.

No this goes back to what I was saying before. Trump is lowering the bar for what we will accept as our "leaders". Ocasio is a perfect point of this. Trump's constant tweets of bs have made people numb to it and given them a precedent to always use as an excuse. She will walk away from this lunacy unscathed.

 

On the surface, sounds rational.

However.

Which President has held the bar high for the rest of the sheeple? It would seem to be a matter of definition, of scale & of what one considers to be of intrinsic value from one's President / leaders.

To heap upon Trump the "lowering of the bar" is far too simple & convenient a doggy door through which to run one's misgivings regarding today's cultural mores.

Not blaming Trump, just pointing out your selective outrage as far as tweets of misinformation. Trump is the gold standard of morons on Twitter. Ocasio is just trying to catch up.

 

Not sure I recall another president routinely using twitter to propagate falsehoods. That is exclusive to Trump.
