Againe & againe, you deflect anything & everything to your TDS. Talkin' bout Ocasio-Cortez, the socialist millennial who not only cannot keep her ignorant yap shut she won't accept accountability for her errors. You seem to like that.

Who cares what happens on Twatter? I have never, and will never have a Twatter account. Why not talk about the trade agreement signed with Mexico and Canada? Or the 90 day cease fire on the trade war with China while they work on a long term trade agreement? These are the things that matter and actually have an affect or effect on our daily lives.

Sorry SUP, check your latest Trump twitter-feed:

"Stocks sank on Tuesday, as President Trump threatened China with further tariffs, just days after the two countries agreed to a cease-fire in their escalating economic conflict. Referring to himself as a “Tariff Man,” Mr. Trump, in a series of tweets, deepened the murkiness surrounding the trade agreement, while members of his economic team talked down the prospects of a broad deal."

There's what Trump says, then there's reality, the two rarely meet.

Using the threat of more tariffs to get a deal done. They don’t want more tariffs, so they need to play ball. He got it done with Mexico and Canada. Let’s wait and see what happens with China. It may take longer than 90 days but you gotta set deadlines and use the carrot AND the stick to motivate.

Trump is probably the person with the highest profile on Twitter, on the sole basis of his position as POTUS.

But the biggest clowns hands down on Twitter are:

    1) Professional athletes, and
    2) Wannabe internet stars.

The pure unadulterated garbage being spewed by these low IQ, low information idiots make Trump's daily babble look downright professional by comparison.

    Trump on coal...

I'm not getting coal in my stocking. This was the best year ever. You know it. I know it. Santa knows it. Everybody knows it.
    Believe me!
And I know all about coal. I have the best coal!
And these people that give the coal, I just tell ya...they’re wonderful people.

There wouldn’t BE a trade war or 20+trillion dollar deficit if it weren’t for your boy silly willy or Barry sotoro and their minions in DC. Z call back You all conveniently forget facts like that.
Then you’ll say some bs about how it was Republican presidents too, blah blah blah but the root of it was and always will be: Democrats rolled over and appeased the world - or tried, and we have gotten raped for it.
Would you rather more and more of the same? We were drowning in it and it was as lopsided as it could be - he’s trying to fix it, so get over your TDS and look at bright picture. Or not.

Luv this. Big fancy words and it’s all crap anyway.
Fact is what you want it to be now, just ask msn/cnn - figure it out later after the damage has been done is their mantra. And the mantra of the modern liberal. They choose to believe what they want and decide what’s “falsehood” based on their titter feed and what the latest gossip is at their local Starbucks. Trump is a genius for using social media for one reason - it’s a direct and unfiltered way to talk to the people who support him. If it were up to media, you’d never hear anything but bad, spun and doctored news that later gets vetted with no apologies. Ever. The tough thing is the simple fact that he’s a doofus when he gets going.
I love it personally cause I love pissing off morons but it also gives them plenty of ammo to keep whining and the resist movement in full swing...

If you listen to trump on nafta 2.0, then it's the best deal in the entire history of all deals. Reality: cosmetic changes that are unlikely to have much economic impact for us. Still good nonetheless, but don't buy the trump hyperbole. Of course now he needs to sell it to congress...

As far as tariffs, my money is on the country with the leader without term limits. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Same country that devalued their currency by 50% in one fell swoop a few yrs ago? The one that wouldn't be anywhere without its own slave labor? That country?

Politicians create market perceptions, the Fed creates market realities. Always has been, always will be.

    Hmmm.

The way I understand it is, the majority of our debt and deficit is due to the enormous amount of loans to us...by China.

Theoretically, what would happen to China if the US decided to outright default on the repayment of those loans? What could they possibly do to recover that money, and the interest paid on it?

    In reality, not much.

Of course, worldwide markets would tumble, because they heavily depend on that flow of dollars, and it would cause a catastrophic domino effect on the worldwide economy.

    And nobody wants that, right?

My point being: Don't be so gullible as to what your choice of "information" feeds you (tells you what you want to hear).

China needs us every bit as much as we need them. And what Trump is doing is no different than what Reagan did with the Iranians during the hostage crisis. How'd that turn out? And we didn't even need to send them planeloads of illicit cash in pallets lol.

We've been running a huge unfair trade deficit with China for decades. It's about time that somebody stepped up and did something.

My money is on US, not the enemy.

    Exactly.
To add, sort of, to La Piedra's insights, look at what happened with Iran under Jimmy Carter. Then, what happened with the hostages 20 mins into RR's inaugural speech.

Underlying factors? Certainly. Results? Go to the man who takes action.

European countries generally respect the rule of law.

all others only respect the punch in the mouth, because words mean nothing to them.

    Truer wourdes rarely spoken.

Ask an Israeli in the IDF what the Arabs respect: he will ball up his fist, smash it into his open palm & tell you, "they respect only this!"

USA politicians have yet to get woke to that basic.
