I do the latter, as well. I also (usually) cite my sources, but at the end of the article; Strassel is excellent but can be long to post.

WSJ is one of the very few I subscribe (pay) to. They are on the conservative side but not egregiously blindly so. Slightly right of center, are they, and not afraid to take whomever to task including Repubs. The WSJ isn't in the realm of shrieking outrage that much of LSM American media sits.

 

Nope. Read what I wrote again. I said those are facts. Just because the facts are in Strassel's piece doesn't make those facts an opinion.

Analogy:
If you wrote that George Washington was a general, within a piece that you wrote that contained your opinions on other topics, would the fact that GW was a general now be negated because it's in your opinion piece?

Which, honestly, is no different in many other state, local & federal entities, including presidential administrations, ergo it's a moot point. Politics is a brutal bidness.

The threats to our Constitution have trickled down (no pun intended) to the State and local law enforcement agencies as well. Small local police agencies with bloated budgets buying up military surplus fighting vehicles. Swat teams that look like Seal Team 6. There's a small, suburban police department in PA that has what looks like a tank. I shit you not. A tank. The township they patrol probably has had one violent crime in the past 10 years.
This growing "power in the hands of police" scares me more than anything and it's not a Dem or Republican thing.

You know who's been (relatively) silent while this shitstorm is kicking up? VP Pence. You Democrat guys better be careful what you wish for. Trump goes bye bye and you get a religious zealot who's about as far to the right as you can get.

 

Lance, dumb cartoon considering the republicans have had complete control of the federal government over the last 2 yearsand held both houses for Obama final years. So basically what you are posting is that Obama was able to get away with more from republicans than trump.
