Gotcha.. and what was the assclown comment in response to? Assclown memory not too good?
Deflection. I see. Having adult conversation about a current issue is deflection. Got it.
And TDS is now defined as “being cool with most things DJT but having issues with some”... you’re silly

And bear in mind that I'm merely disagreeing with you - - I respect your opinion, I just don't agree with you. There's no tone to typing so that's why some folks get a but butthurt. Butt no need. Carry on!

I'm curious....what do you disagree with that i said? (other than setting me straight that the go fund me is symbolic not serious)

My opinion was that its nuts for government agencies to undertake major policy decisions and build things based on private donations, and not congressional budgeting.

Useless to parry with you. Useless. And not for the reasons you may think.

    Merry Christmas! :D

My point is not to 'set you straight' - - don't take stuff so personal, this is just opinions o_O - - my point is to state that the guy is making a point via his gofundme shtick. $13, $15, $20 mln as we know doesn't pay for much when you're talking federal govt aka waste.

Until we actually get a fed agency making cogent public policy based on a gofundme campaign, as you lined out, (highly unlikely imho) it's just hot stove talk.

Having said that, again, the gofundme guy seems to have tapped into a piece of America that is passionate & real - - and in that sense the pols are sitting up & taking notice. Maybe. Time will tell if there's any staying power to this thing.

To answer your tag line question...yeah offshore winds do exist in Florida..

The eight days i was just down there, there was a true west wind just about the entire time. Not swell the entire time, but glassy conditions all day long.

Yes, there are a few off shore days a year down here in South FL, but rarely do the come with decent swell and for more than a few hours on one day. That's why we love hurricanes so much, only time you're getting consistent offshores and legit swell for multiple days for the most part.

I don't care what the wind is doing when there aren't waves unless I'm trying to play golf.

    Yeah...i agree.

Been making trips to south florida since the mid 1990s just about annually.

The east trade winds are freaking relentless!

Wasting your time with SFL with the rare exceptional day here and there. I know you don’t believe me or think I’m knowledgeable enough but if you come back to FL, come to CFL and let me show you what’s up. We get far more consistent surf and offshores aren’t unheard of. Gotta know where to go and when. I got it dialed in.

Wha? i believe you, because i know CFL is more consistent. i've been to New Smyrna Beach many times, Wabasso, Sebastian Inlet....I even agree the winds are better than south.

These trips are with the wife to get away from the cold, and go where its WARM. If i surf Stuart or Jupiter a few mornings its a bonus.

These arent surf trips, and i don't doubt your spot knowledge....not sure why you thought i did

Idk just figured you didn’t think of me as being in the know, i’ve offered before and no response. Cool that I was wrong.

Good news is it’s pretty warm in my neck of the woods. I have worn a short John suite most days this past month. Only worn the 3/2 like 3 times, and once was unessassary. Water has been 68-72. That’s Melbourne - Cocoa Beach.

Lately conditions have trended better in the PAFB / Satellite areas, but soon it will shift back down to MLB. It goes in cycles.

Sebastian is reserved for days where nothing else is working on a day with S / SE winds. If it’s SW or W go elsewhere to avoid crowd. If wind is N / NW go North to PAFB or Cocoa.

Tides are a whole other story. Lots of spots break on a variety of tides, few work on high tide, some do but gotta know how it’s been lately, takes surfing the same spot regularly to know. Never a sure thing though.

Anyways, would love to share a peak one day. Zeroevol and Yankee can vouch for me.

True. But there is a difference between someone else paying for something (ie. mexicans) and me paying for it.

Kinda like me promising my wife I'm going to buy her a watch. Then saying to my wife "give me $10K I'm heading to the watch store"
And when she says Fugg off I blame her
