Democrats want to 'get the money out of politics' Here's some helpful information for you. 2016 election - Super Pac money Clinton = $204.4 million Trump = $79.3 million Campaign Fundraising Clinton = $623 million (16% of funds from small donations of $200 or less) Trump = $335 million (26% of funds from small donations of $200 or less) Obama 2012 campaign fundraising = $731 million Clinton 2016 campaign fundraising = $623 million Romney 2012 campaign fundraising = $474 million Trump 2016 campaign fundraising = $335 million * Not to mention, the wealthiest people in America today, the Uber-rich, Bezos, Buffet, Gates, Zuck, are overwhelmingly Democrats. So please, tell me more about the evil, greedy Republicans controlling elections with their 'dark money' and special interests...I could use a good laugh this morning. -- J. Powers
I actually was hoping he would follow through on prosecution after the election. Evidence of the Foundation's pay-to-play activities while she was Secretary of State, combined with her abuse of e-mail security protocols seemed like enough to warrant action. Prison....yeah i doubt that either....but my feeling is they wont stop doing it unless they are called out on it....legally.
prosecution doesn't sound bad. personally, I believe "prosecution" in its current form is just political grandstanding, because nobody higher than congressional-level flunkies ever go to prison. And once somebody goes to prison, all deals are off. it's like "nuclear option" and "executive order". Once that Pandora's Box is opened, others will feel free to abuse it at their whim in the future. And that will be chaos. This is why all these "investigations" and "inquiries" just go around in circles for years without tangible success (convictions). The parties want to appear as if they are doing the will of their constituents, but in reality nobody wants to actually bust anybody because EVERYBODY is so dirty, they run the risk of getting busted themselves somewhere down the line. having worked in the federal gubmint, I have seen this over and over and over again. You can bet that the highest levels have it down to an art form. Stupid as Americans are, they will continue to vote in the person they would most want to have a beer with (in Drillbutt and Edkook's case, a white wine spritzer or Appletini). I'm still waiting for the guy I'd do a bong rip with.
So just for fun I looked up how much the gofundme is at, wow $18m. Way to step up Trumpsters. At that rate the wall will be built in like...... never. Rule #1 of trying to raise money: Don't ask poor people that think a President will make their miserable lives better again.
So they'd be helping the Republicans out by passing HR1, no? Nothing is going to change DC until we change campaign finance law. Lobbyist own that place.
Another thing I don't think you all comprehend in all your Hillary love is....... why for the love of god haven't the Republicans done more to 'lock her up'. As you post about time and time again, there seems to be proof of her doing wrong. So..... why haven't the Republicans (that had a full lock on government in the last 2 years) done anything about it? Dozens of hearings while she was running for President came to a halt once she lost. Why???? Could it all be infowars BS? We will never know. Because just like you guys not giving to the wall, your elected heroes are simply just talk.
What I don't get is why the dems don't take this opportunity to make the wall a win for them. If they really care about winning in 2020 I would think they would try to spin this as a win for them. They lost the last election due to crap candidates and pushing the people in the middle to lean right. I would imagine that most of those people think the wall is a good idea and see the left as obstructing just to prevent DJT from getting a win. I don't think that will play well for them in the future. Why not sell it as a loss for DJT and say Mexico isn't paying for the wall, but border security is important so we will fund it. I would think that would help them more that just saying no.
The majority of US citizens do not support the wall, so politically speaking, it's probably wisest to oppose the wall altogether.
As regards the supposed existing anti-wall sentiment amongst Americans, quoting the same pollsters who predicted that Hildebeast would crush Trump in the last election as your source for your comment that "the majority of US citizens do not support the wall" does not bolster your claim one iota.
Weren't you bragging about Trump poll number compared to Obama the other day? So polls are totally bogus or no? Which one is it?
